Max 14kg per leaf. application Suitable for residential and light commercial wardrobe and cupboard folding doors Ideal for use on openings with non-rebated jambs as only simple framing at the head is required to take the top track The pivot arrangement allows the leaves to fold open to approximately 100 degrees, allowing unhindered access to over 90% of the opening No bottom guide channel is necessary DOOR SPECIFICaTION Guide System: Bifold 14 For Individual Leaves: Max Leaf height 2400mm (for leaves 29-41mm thick) 2040mm (for leaves 19-41mm thick) Max Leaf weight 14kg Max Leaf width 610mm Min Leaf Thickness 19mm Bifold 14 can be used for any width opening and for any number of leaves, in multiples of two leaf units, by pivoting the third unit of leaves, etc., within the opening. Top and bottom rails should be of sufficient size to ensure solid and secure fitting for the guide and pivots. where solid leaves are used, they should be restricted to 450mm wide. Leaves wider than 450mm should be of light construction and provision made for securing the door knob. Leaves should be made of equal width, allowing 1mm clearance between leaves and 6-7mm clearance at the pivot point and closing stile. SPECIFICaTIONS and QUaNTITIES The specifications below and overleaf detail the maximum and minimum capacities for the track systems recommended. Determine the number of leaves required to cover the opening. The leaves are hinged together to form one or two units of up to six leaves each, with each unit pivoted to one side of the opening. wider openings can be covered by including a four or six leaf unit floating to either side of the opening. If the leaf weight is unknown, the weight can be calculated using the chart in Section a. having calculated the weight, use the information below to select the appropriate track system and quantities for the unit or units required to cover the opening width. The formula for calculating the width of leaves for a partition 44 thick is as follows - add 60 (half leaf thickness + 38) to the width between the rebated posts for each leaf hinged to a post and divide the result by the number of leaves.
