3 Fittings for Sliding Folding Partition Doors Case Studies System: Foldaside 310 (see pages ) Important: Keep all fittings flush faced as leaves fold onto one another Head sealing A Use mounted on the recieving frame under face. Timber soffit batten may be necessary. The folding leaves will close against the brush filaments. Benefit is doors closing onto a continuous seal. In applications with notched/rebated head, seal may be achieved with blade seal - see Section 4 pages Blade seal B Option: Use (or depending upon clearance from door head to bracket batten) morticed into head of door at centre. Filaments will seal on under edge of batten. C Possible alternative is to use inverted and face morticed into top edge of closing side of door with filaments sealing to bottom of bracket batten Bottom sealing D Use morticed into door bottom but offset to clear flush bolt heal return (alternatively, if centrally morticed it will be necessary to break the line of seal at this point).
