13 COUNSELLING SERVICES REACH OUT COUNSELLING Free counselling service. Reach Out can work with clients who have home addresses with the following postcodes: NG1 NG2 NG3 NG7 NG8 NG9 Waiting List: Clients are often seen by their counsellors within 6 weeks of referral. Tel: info@reachoutcounselling.org BASE 61 COUNSELLING Counselling for young people ages For more information you can us at counselling@base51.org.uk, call us on (0115) or complete and return referral form found on the page link below. Waiting lists and appointments We try to keep waiting times as short as possible. Sometimes you might have to wait for a couple of weeks until you initially see a counsellor. After you have been in once we try to allocate you to a suitable counsellor as quickly as possible, ideally within a further two weeks when we can. How many sessions we offer you will depend on why you come to the counselling service; we try to make this as individual as possible because not every person is the same. We will discuss this with you during your assessment so that you get an idea of the amount of support we can offer you. We will initially offer 6 sessions if you are accepted into the service. This is then reviewed and you and your counsellor will discuss if counselling is still beneficial, and if so you can then often continue for an additional 6 sessions. If you are over 18 the maximum session we can usually offer you is 12. If you are under 18 we can sometimes offer you more it all depends on what support you need. Appointment times are generally between 9am and 7pm from Monday to Friday. We have very few times outside of these. If you need a time outside of these let us know and we will let you know if we have anything that may be suitable for you. We also run drop-in sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4-6pm where you can come to the NGY myplace building and speak with a counsellor. This is offered on a first come first seen basis.
