2 Substance Misuse Service (SMS) Eastbourne Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust address Lift House 6, St Leonards Road, Eastbourne BN21 3UH telephone fax website The SMS provides clinical services for alcohol and drug misusers across East Sussex, working in partnership with non-statutory agencies who provide non-clinical gateway and psychological interventions: Action for Change, Alcohol; CRI Eastbourne drugs. All work is integrated to ensure the best service is delivered in a joined up manner. In partnership with the Probation Service and the NHS, CRI delivers a range of community treatment packages for people with drug problems. Open access service includes advice, information and signposting for substance misusers, their family and other professionals. Assessment and access to substitute prescribing Needle Exchange and harm reduction advice Brief interventions Structured day programmes and counselling Drug Intervention Programme (DIP) and Arrest Referral Aftercare. Advice and support for relatives and friends of alcoholics is also available. Al-Anon Family Groups UK & Eire Address 61 Great Dover Street, London SE1 4YF Fax: Website Confidential Helpline (Helpline available 10 am - 10 pm, 365 days a year) Al-Anon Family Groups provide support and understanding to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone else s drinking. We believe alcoholism affects the whole family, not just the drinker. Alateen is part of Al-Anon and is for teenage relatives and friends of problem drinkers. Alateen is for those aged years. Narcotics Anonymous Sussex NA is a non-profit fellowship of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. The only requirement for membership is the desire to stop using.
