8 Cost per Resident Flexibility In House Resources Project Required Resources Provided Standardization Stand Alone Blended Online =Highest 2=Middle 3=Least Iowa Online Nurse Residency Comparison Tool This will assist you in comparing which type of program is best for your facility. Steps to use this tool: Step 1: Fill in the hourly wage for the following: coordinator, resident, and replacement staff cost when resident is not on the unit. (This will give you the total expense per resident.) Step 2: Enter the # of residents you will have per year (This will give you the total cost of the program.) Step 3: If you have > 19 residents change this number to 190. If > 50 residents change this number to 180. If < 20 keep at 200. (This will accomodate price break given for larger numbers of residents.) Step 4: Enter the cost of purchased curriculum, if applicable.
