2 1.Applicable communication scope Small data transmission( each data packet no more than 100 bytes). The time interval of each data packet is more than 80ms. 2. Serial port monitoring If need, use serial port monitoring tool to monitor the serial port parameters under the normal working state: baud rate, data bit, parity, data packet. Then modify the zigbee module parameters to be consistent with that. 3. Configuration steps Firstly, module links to PC by serial port, power supply. Secondly, entering into computer hyper terminal 1

5 Please enter SHUNCOM Select number 1,2,3 to modify the parameters accordingly Press Enter will show all setting parameters. Notes The module connecting to PC is set as coordinator. The other modules are set to be routers or end devices. 4

6 The channel and the PAN ID must be the same in the unique network. The baud rate, parity, data bit and the Mac_Add should be consistent with connecting device. Mac_ address : the coordinator must be 0000, the router and the end device can be set from 0001 to FFFE. Configuration fault description Press CFG for 3 or 5 seconds. Power LED always on, run and alarm LEDs are flashing at the same time, which means the module on the configuration mode. Or else you should check that: (1) the interface is correct or not. (2) ensure the serial port choosing is right. (3) make sure the wire connection is correct, especially the RS485 wire connection (4) ensure the hyper terminal has been connected. 4.How to connect device 5. 7 (1)Transparent transmission (recommend to use ) The coordinator s TX_Type(sending mode) is set as broadcast, the non-coordinator are set as master slave. 9 (2) Destination address transmission The coordinator, router and end_device are set as master-slave mode.it is required to add destination address when the coordinator sends data to the noncoordinators. 11 Using this mode,only the destination address module can receive the data. It can help user to distinguish the data will transmit to which module. (3)Point to point transmission In this mode, only two devices are allowed to communicate. Destination address must be added in front of the data package when sending data. 15 Notes: It doesn t need to output the Src_add if you can distinguish the data from the user device address. If not, you can output the module s address. 14
