Mike has 15 years experience working with Shingo as a Senior Team Leader, Regional Director, member of the Shingo Examiner Committee and most recently, Senior Curriculum Advisor. As a former turnaround specialist, Mike held numerous senior executive positions, rapidly driving business results in both service and manufacturing environments. Mike is a 2x winner of the Shingo Research Prize and his implementation model is currently being used by 300 organizations worldwide. Eilish Henry is the Director of SISU Europe and a Certified Facilitator for the Shingo Institute. She was the first Shingo global coach appointed to Europe and is a highly experienced Shingo Examiner, helping a large number of organizations achieve levels of Shingo recognition. Eilish has worked across a range of sectors including Central Government, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Chemicals, Packaging, Automotive, Aerospace and Financial Services. In 2004 she was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her work in leading large cultural change programs in the UK public sector. Mami Takeda is the Manager of SISU Japan and has organized many private and public learning tours for SISU. Ms. Takeda was trained as a professional Technical Visits coordinator and translator at one of the largest consulting companies in Korea. She facilitates more than 150 visits per year with teams from Europe, China, Korea, Russia, India, Thailand, Australia and the US. Ms. Takeda completed a full certification in the principles, systems and tools of the Toyota Production System in 2009.

5 TPS Dojo Experience (Kaizen Immersion) Susumu Minegishi was chief foreman of the Honsha (head oﬃce) plant at Toyota Motor Corporation. He shouldered the weight of the assembly lines of the Honsha Plant. His nononsense, uncompromising attitude has earned him respect and many followers. Mr. Minegishi is a technical training group manager and is dedicated to various on-site education and training programs including the Toyota Production System. Mitsuru Fujii was chief foreman of the Honsha (head oﬃce) plant at Toyota Motor Corporation. He was responsible for the smooth running of the assembly lines of the Honsha Plant and overseas, like the Malaysia plant. His passion for the shop floor is second to none. Mr. Fujii is a technical training group trainer and is busy working on various on-site education and training programs including the Toyota Production System.

6 Seminar (Senior Toyota Executive) Principles of TPS Monozukuri Zenji Kosaka At Toyota Motor Corporation, Zenji Kosaka held a managerial position in both machinery and production administration departments of the Honsha (head office) plant. He also served as deputy plant manager. Later at Shinmei Co., Ltd., he was vice president and president, then honorary chairman. He was trained by Taichi Ohno, a pioneer of TPS (Toyota Production System), from the system s infancy and had the opportunity to put the theory into practice. To Mr. Kosaka, who continues to pursue the principles of TPS, the driving force of kaizen (continuous improvement) has always been people. His motto goes like this: If you want someone to work, show him how to do it, explain it, let him try it, and don t forget to praise him if he does a good job. Mr. Kosaka is also an expert in machining and assembly and was taught by Shigeo Shingo.

7 Seminar (Japan Management Association) Methods of Leading in Japan Shigehiro Nakamura Mr. Shigehiro Nakamura is a Senior Instructor with the Japan Management Association. During his 23 years with JMA, Mr. Nakamura has published 54 books in Japanese and 3 into English (New Standardization, Go-Go Tools, TP Management). He has worked with a wide variety of companies across industry and his specialities include zerodefect production, TPM, line design, and bottom-up & top down suggestion systems. Prior to joining JMA, Mr. Nakamura built a distinguished career over 15 years at Hitachi Metals. Hitachi Metals is a $8.2 billion division of the Hitachi Group, employing more than 30,000 employees across 13 plants. While at Hitachi, Mr. Nakamura was not only a Senior Engineer, but also provided internal consulting in the areas of just-in-time production, team-based suggestion systems, and low cost automation.

10 Fees, Terms & Conditions Price: $7,995 per person (normally $9,200 per person) Price includes hotels, site visits, workshops, seminars, dojo immersion experience, trains and buses in Nagoya and Tokyo, certificates for all participants, extended time with SISU tour guides, translators and some meals. Price does not include travel to and from Japan. Tours typically start early Monday morning and end late Friday evening.
