Participants will work on the basic principles of drawing and learn to shade, work with perspective, landscapes, shadows, portraits, etc. You will learn different techniques to simplify drawing in a relaxed and fun environment and have an opportunity to practise your newly learned skills. 5 Stained Glass Program General Information Please note that closed-toe shoes are required and there is a significant amount of standing required for these classes. The use of tools and materials are provided for instructional classes, but colour choice for projects will depend on availability at the time of purchase. Stained Glass: This class is designed for those wishing to work independently on their own projects. Work at your own pace, whether you are a beginner or more experienced, with guidance from the instructor. Tools are available for your use. You must supply your own glass, solder and foil, some of which may be purchased from the instructor. 6 Stained Glass: Projects Hobby Shop Notice Please be advised that a Hobby Shop policies and procedures manual is in place for all users of this room. ONE OF THE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDES PARTICIPATING IN A MANDATORY TRAINING SESSION FOR ALL OF OUR EQUIPMENT AND UPDATING THIS TRAINING/REFRESHER EVERY TWO YEARS. The Centre has implemented a buddy system for the Hobby Shop. No one will be admitted into the Hobby Shop to work without an instructor in the room. Safety first! PLEASE NOTE: CLOSED-TOE SHOES ARE REQUIRED IN THE HOBBY SHOP WHILE PARTICIPATING IN THE WOOD WORKING PROGRAMS In this class, you will learn how to create an Easter sun catcher and/or garden buddies. In this two-day course, we will cover safe operation and set-up for the most common woodworking machinery. After demonstrating your use with an emphasis on safety, you will use the equipment under the watchful eye of the instructor.
