2 What is OPQ32 r? The Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) gives organisations, an understanding of, how aspects of an individual s behavioural style will affect his or her performance at work. It provides detailed information on 32 specific personality characteristics proven to influence performance. In the last 25 years, more than 90 independent validation studies in 20 countries and 40 industries were conducted to OPQ. It is known for its high validity & low inaccuracy, added to edit quickly & easily, and is available in more than 34 languages. The OPQ helps organisations to: Identify the best-fit applicants for a given role Improve interview hit rates Identify future leaders Re-deploy talent across the business Evaluate the talent pool following a merger /acquisition/ restructure Create winning project teams Manage the transformation of a technical specialist to an effective people manager Multiple Report Options The range of report options OPQ32 r allows results to be interpreted depending on the goals and make sense to both HR professionals and managers. The reports are targeted, user-friendly and professionally produced They go into detail and show strengths & development areas Most are designed for direct use by decision makers (not just for HR professionals) They provide a clear, concise, graphical summary of performance in job-related areas of expertise. 2
3 Report Samples Manager Plus Report This report is designed specifically for managers. It shows how the candidate prefers to work and how he/she is likely to perform against a range of competencies proven to be important at work or how he/she is likely to interact with colleagues. Development Action Planner This report represents the strengths and development areas of a person in relation to 16-management skills which are considered as the fundamental basis for a manager s success. Thus, the report serves as a basis for personal and professional development. Recommendations given could be incorporated into a development plan. Universal Competency Report This report describes the likely performance of a person with respect to the core 20 competencies of SHL Universal Competency Framework. Sales Report This report is suitable for both personnel selection as well as personnel development. It provides a detailed assessment of behaviors and skills of the candidate within the sales context. Furthermore, it focuses on the candidate s strengths regarding the potential sales performance. Leadership Report This report enables easy analysis of transactional and transformational aspects of leading employees and is therefore suitable for personnel selection and development. The report provides an objective mechanism to capture the leadership behavior against a set of validated skills as well as to provide a framework to link certain personality aspects with leadership behavior. Specific standards / intercultural comparability In order to assess an individual result optimally, it is possible to relate this to different groups of standards: STUDENTS - PROFESSIONALS / EXECUTIVES - TOTAL POPULATION: In addition the norm groupscan be selected as national or international. Intercultural studies show both cultural dependence and independence of certain dimensions. Based on these studies, corrections to adjust these influences are possible and allows for an ideal use of OPQ32 r in an international context. 3
