1 Bringing Medford Together Medford Substance Prevention Task Force 85 George P. Hassett Dr. Rm 311 Medford, MA Dear Medford Parents, We know that parents are working harder than ever to support their kids in an ever changing world. This is no easy task. In response to the needs of some of our Medford Parents, we have gathered resources on substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment. These resources have been gathered to address the questions below: When should I start talking to my child about alcohol and drugs? What should I say? I think my pre-teen/teen may have started drinking/using drugs. What should I do? My pre-teen/teen is regularly using drugs and alcohol. What sort of treatment is available for them? Together, we can support the youth of Medford to grow into healthy and happy adults. Sincerely, Penelope Bruce Underage Drinking Prevention Program Coordinator Brooke Johns Drug Free Communities Coordinator Medford Board of Health/Medford Health Matters Medford Health Matters City Hall- Room Exchange Avenue 85 George P.
