2 Mission The CLARE Foundation is a nonprofit organization providing effective and compassionate treatment, recovery, and prevention services for alcoholism and substance abuse to individuals, families, and the community. Who We Are Founded in 1970 by a group of citizens concerned about the homeless alcoholics gathering on the beaches of Santa Monica and Venice, the nonprofit has grown from a small storefront operation to a continuum of care with 11 different programs in several Westside locations.

3 Services We Provide Admissions acts as the first point of contact for individuals seeking recovery, placing people in CLARE s programs and offering information, counseling, and referrals. Primary Program provides a residential nonmedical detox, a rigorous counseling schedule, 12-step meetings, and drug and alcohol education. Men s Recovery Home allows male clients to undergo residential treatment for up to six months, helping them establish a sober lifestyle, confront personal issues, and construct a sober social support network. Women s Treatment Program offers gender-responsive services, from detoxification and primary care through six-month residential treatment, in an environment that addresses issues specific to women in recovery. Sober Living Centers provide residential assistance for clients with 90 days of sobriety who are ready to transition to independent living. The Women with Children Sober Living Program allows mothers to participate in a recovery plan while their children become a part of a safe, structured lifestyle. The Intensive Outpatient Program provides individualized treatment and case management services to addicts who cannot take time away from home or work to be in a residential treatment program. The Drug Court Program serves as a court-approved alternative to jail time for nonviolent drug offenders charged with possession or being under the influence of an illegal substance. The Drinking Driver Program provides alcohol education and case monitoring to help participants examine habits and attitudes that led to driving under the influence. Clarity for Youth sends experienced drug and alcohol counselors into local middle schools, high schools, and community centers to educate students about substance abuse. Opening in 2014, Conscious Recovery provides premium, customized, evidence-based outpatient treatment, and includes morning, evening, and day treatment options.

4 Vision Everyone seeking recovery from substance abuse will have access to professional, effective, and compassionate treatment in a clean and secure environment that meets the highest standards for healthcare delivery. Everyone in our community will have access to drug and alcohol education and prevention services. Values CLARE values effective, cost-efficient evidence-based residential and outpatient treatment and prevention services. CLARE values a professional staff that is well-trained and respectful, and maintains strict confidentiality. CLARE values recovery: a personal process that includes sobriety, health, responsibility, and improved quality of life, requiring individual effort and the support of others.

5 People We Serve CLARE strives to provide the most effective and cost-efficient evidence-based residential and outpatient treatment and prevention programs to all in need, regardless of ability to pay. With 250 residential beds, CLARE is able to provide help and hope to thousands of individuals each year. Admissions serves 30,000 people annually, placing 3,000 in one of CLARE s other programs, and offering information, counseling, and referrals to the remaining 27,000. Primary Program has 49 beds and serves over 1,200 men annually. Men s Recovery Home has 70 beds and serves 350 men annually. Women s Treatment Program has 40 beds and serves 275 women each year. Sober Living Centers have 59 beds and serve up to 140 men and women annually. Women with Children Sober Living serves 12 women and up to 16 of their children at a time. Intensive Outpatient Program serves 525 adults annually. The Drug Court Program serves 60 clients annually. The Drinking Driver Program serves 750 clients annually. Clarity for Youth currently operates in 13 schools and seven community centers, reaching approximately 1,200 young people in the Los Angeles area.
