2 Page 2 Use PostageSupermarket To Ship Your Magento Orders Magento is an ecommerce platform, first released in 2008 it has grown to be one of the worlds most popular online trading systems. With a few simple steps you can now link your Magento store to your PostageSupermarket.com account and ship all your orders quickly and easily. In each Magento installation there is included a Web Service. This can be thought of as a sub-system that allows third party applications / websites to connect to your Magento store, and retrieve data from it. This secure system is protected by having a username and key pair that you, the Magento store owner, set up and administer This document aims to outline the procedure to configure your Magento store ready to accept feeds into PostageSupermarket.com 1. Create a Web Service Role within Magento First we need to create a web service role. Log into your Magento admin panel, and go to System > Web Services > SOAP/XML-RPC Roles

3 Page 3 Click the Add New Role Button on the top right of the screen. Fill In A Role Name - In this case we are calling the role name PostageSupermarket Role Next click on the Role Resources tab To allow PostageSupermarket full access to customer and sales data set the resource access to All (using the drop down menu). If you only want to use the feed service then set the resource access to custom and then tick the Sales checkbox in the list that appears. Click Save Role button to complete this step.

4 Page 4 2. Create a Web Service User within Magento Again from the admin menu within Magento, select System > Web Services > Users Click the Add New User button. Fill in the User Name, First Name, Last Name and fields In the API Key field, enter a password that you will remember. Confirm this password in the API Key Confirmation field. This password will be used when you setup your feed on PostageSupermarket.com Next click the User Role panel on the same screen Select the Role we created in step 1, then click Save User

5 Page 5 3. Configure PostageSupermarket.com To Accept your Magento Feed The next stage is to configure PostageSupermarket.com. Log into PostageSupermarket.com (or create an account if you don t already have one) Open the Bulk Shipping Tool by clicking on the link on the left hand side of the site Click on the Preferences Tab and click Add/Remove/edit Magento Stores

6 Page 6 Click on Link a New Magento Store Fill in the following Form

7 Page 7 The Store URL is the address you type into your browser to browse to your store, eg. In the Username field and Magento API Key fields. enter the values you created in your Magento Admin panel in step 2. The Order Status field should be set to your order status in your Magento System. We use the Default Contents field to pre-fill the contents of your parcel. So, if you sell rollerskates online, simply put Rollerskates in this field and we will fill in your parcel contents! Click Add New Store and your orders should start to flow into PostageSupermarket!
