4 2 Server-side On the Server, the following environments can or should coexist with Efficy: OS Web Server Database (RDBMS) Mail Server Satellite programs For more information about what to install where and why, please contact us. Operating Systems (OS) Windows Windows 2000 Windows 2003 Windows 2008 Windows 7 The 64-bits versions of Windows 2008 and Windows 7 are also. Web Servers Efficy requires one of the following web servers: IIS or Apache. Internet Information Services IIS 5 IIS 6 IIS 7 Apache Apache 2.0 Recommended version: up to version ; more recent versions can behave inconsistently

5 Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) Efficy supports databases of the following types: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Firebird. Oracle 8i 9 10g 11 The 64-bit version of Oracle 11 is also (on a Windows 64 bit server). Microsoft SQL Server The 64-bit version of SQL Server 2008 is also (on a Windows 64 bit server - tested with version R2). Firebird Firebird 2.0 Firebird 2.1 not * * Starting from Efficy 2009, due to the implementation of Unicode, Firebird 2.0 is no longer. The 64-bit version of Firebird 2.1 is also (on a Windows 64 bit server).

Operating Systems (OS) The tested OS are Windows and Mac OS X. Microsoft Windows Windows 2000 Windows XP Windows Vista Windows 7 The 64-bits versions of Windows are also, except for the Send to Efficy feature in the Windows Explorer installed by the Sidebar. 8 Web Browsers The tested browsers are Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Internet Explorer IE5 IE5.5 IE6 IE7 IE8 incompatible * * * In IE 5.5 and IE 6, core functionalities are available but the visual experience is not always optimal. It is to upgrade your Internet Explorer browser. IE 64 bits will not correctly install the Efficy ActiveX that are in 32 bits. We recommend using IE 32 bits or forcing the use of the Java Applet if you wish to continue using IE 64 bits. 9 Office Products The presence of Office Products is not required for working with Efficy, except to benefit from the Microsoft Office integration (interaction between Efficy and Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Lotus Notes integration or the Entourage or Apple Mail integration. Microsoft Office 2000 to be tested XP The MS-Office 64-bits versions are not compatible with the Office and Outlook add-ins (enabling the integration between MS-Office/MS-Outlook and Efficy). 10 Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) Any PDA or Smartphone that is synchronized with Outlook/Exchange or Lotus will work fine with Efficy. BlackBerry HTC iphone Windows Mobile Devices Telephony Integration (CTI) The only requirement for the CTI integration is the presence of a TAPI driver on the client workstation. Therefore, the CTI integration will work with any type of telephone exchange and device (including softphone), provided they offer a client TAPI interface.
