4 There have been enormous changes in the ecosystem of the Norwegian Sea in the past years and probably the largest gathering of Orcas and Humpback whales in the world take place yearly during the winter months in the Norwegian fjords.

5 This is linked to the enormous amount of spring-spawning herring and mackerel. Humpback whales and Orcas have been sighted in large numbers feeding on herring.

9 During the darker hours you will enjoy the warm and cozy comfort of the expedition yacht MS Malmö while our expert guides entertain you with presentations and educational information on wildlife and cinematography. Excellent food is served with a fine selection of wines and beers.

10 Prepare for cold but rewarding days out at sea with spectacular sightings of an unique display of nature. Have your cameras charged and whenever possible be ready to slip into the water or enjoy the phenomena from the spacious deck on board the ship.

13 Your home away from home The MS Malmö is a comfortable expedition vessel built in 1943 and completely renovated in It s a true piece of maritime history, with large wooden deck space and al fresco dining area. With 2 large zodiacs and experienced expedition team, the yacht provides the ideal platform for small groups, families, friends and incentives looking for the ultimate Arctic wildlife experience in the utmost comfort. The vessel carries a maximum of 15 passengers in outside twin cabins.

14 During the entire week we follow the schools of herring and pods of Orcas and Humpbacks in the protected surroundings of the beautiful Norwegian fjords either with the MS Malmö or onboard the Zodiacs.

15 Life on board The Cabins The expedition yacht accommodates 15 guests in 7 cabins: 4x Twin cabins with shower and toilet in the cabin. 2x Twin cabins with shower and toilet outside the cabin, with washbasin. 1x Triple cabin with shower and toilet in the cabin. 16 The Restaurant and Bar A relaxed and cozy place for reading and working on your photos after an exciting day full of adventures. The Lounge In the lounge we share documentaries, lectures, and we show interesting movies and briefings. It is also a great place to work on your camera equipment and check out your snorkel gear.

17 The Bridge The bridge is a great place to look for Whales and other wildlife and enjoy the beautiful light and scenery of the Norwegian fjords. You are always welcome to come up to the bridge to chat with the officers.

18 You don t have to be a Diver! Snorkeling with the whales is for everybody. We provide you with a (Waterproof D9) snorkel dry suit and snorkel equipment. But also for those who choose not to snorkel, the zodiac excursions are great whale watching opportunities for excellent photography! Two zodiacs and two expert guides will accompany you on your whale watching adventures.
