Itinerary Key: Breakfast Lunch Dinner Drink Afternoon Tea Longer walks and steps may be involved on this day 1 Travel to Prague Meet your One Traveller representative at the main departure airport and fly to Prague. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for your five-night stay. If flying from a regional airport you will be met by our representative in Prague and escorted to the hotel. Evening: welcome drinks reception hosted by your two Tour Managers with your fellow travelling companions and an included evening meal. 2 Prague city tour Morning: relaxed walking tour with a local Czech guide, including the Jewish Quarter, Charles Bridge and the stunning Old Town and Square with the famous astrological clock. Afternoon: lunch cruise on the Vltava River on a privately chartered boat with live music and drinks and a chance to get to know your travelling companions further. Free time will follow in the city. Evening: dinner in The Municipal House, the city's foremost Art Nouveau building, and one of the finest in Europe. 3 Prague Castle tour Morning: guided tour of Prague Castle the official residence of the President of the Czech Republic. The castle was a seat of power for kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors, and presidents of Czechoslovakia. The Bohemian Crown Jewels are kept within a hidden room inside it. We also include a visit to St Vitus Cathedral and a stroll on the picturesque Golden Lane.

3 Afternoon: free to enjoy Prague at your own pace. Evening: evening meal at the hotel followed by an opportunity to see a traditional Czech classical marionette show in the centre of this magnificent city. 4 Trip to Karlovy Vary Morning: excursion to this spa town on the confluence of the rivers Ohře and Teplá named after Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia, who founded the city in It is historically famous for its hot springs. We include a guided tour in this attractive city. Afternoon: free time to enjoy the quaint streets and boutiques of Karlovy Vary at your leisure. Evening: Czech dinner in the oldest restaurant in the centre of Prague followed by a panoramic drive. 5 Karlstejn Castle Enjoy a free day in Prague or join us on a relaxing trip into the country to Karlstejn to see the breathtaking castle and spend time at leisure in this charming village. Evening: traditional folklore show with dinner and drinks in Prague. You will have music from different parts of the country, Bohemian, Moravian, Slovak folk songs, gipsy songs and dances too. A great way to finish the holiday. 6 Return flight to the UK Today after a leisurely breakfast you will be escorted to the airport for your flight back to the UK. 4 A half day guided sightseeing walking tour with an official guide to see the best of the historic capital of the Czech Republic. Prague has a long and chequered history and there are many colourful stories that your official guide will be able to tell you. Perhaps the greatest period in the city s long existence was the 14th Century during the reign of Charles IV: some of the earliest city districts were established, Charles Bridge was built, Charles University was founded and there was economic and cultural growth... Admire the architecture of The Old Town Square, The Jewish Quarter, Charles Bridge and its baroque statues. You will have the opportunity to witness the Astronomical Clock striking on the hour in The Old Town Square, and also to enjoy the atmosphere of one of Prague s Kavarny (Coffee Houses). Lunch cruise in Prague (on privately chartered boat) A 1.5 hour cruise on the famous River Vltava (internationally known as the Moldau) through the centre of Prague, including a buffet lunch and live music. The boat will be exclusively for our group and is a great way to relax and see the city. Prague Castle tour A full day in Prague with a half day guided sightseeing tour of the Prague Castle (Prague s No. 1 tourist attraction). Entrances into the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace and the Golden Lane are included. The second part of the day will be free at your leisure. Full day trip to the spa town of Karlovy Vary A full day trip to this stunning spa city situated in Western Bohemia. A guided walking tour of the main historical centre followed by free time for more shopping and lunch. Dinner in the oldest restaurant in the city An informal dinner in one of the oldest restaurant/brewery in the city, U Fleku where you will enjoy a hearty Czech meal accompanied by typical Czech musical entertainment. From here you will enjoy a short evening tour of the city to see some of Prague s famous sights lit up in the evening. Dinner in The Municipal House Enjoy a three course meal at one of Prague s stunning Art Nouveau cultural landmarks, the Municipal House in the centre of the city. Food, Drink & Folklore Folklore is deeply ingrained in the local culture and we will take you to see a wonderful show in the city. A 2-hour show with dancing (Polka, Chardash & Mazurka) and singing including delicious food and a free bar (beer, wine and soft drinks). There is also a dance floor where you could try some of the local dances with the professionals. As this will take place on your final evening this is a fitting end to a very special introduction to the city of Prague.

5 Optional excursions Don Giovani at the National Marionette Theatre Mozart composed "The Opera of Operas" - Don Giovanni - especially for Prague and he personally conducted its world first performance in 1787 at the Prague Estates Theatre. The National Marionette Theatre presents this brilliant opera in a unique version using the classical marionettes. This is one of Prague s cultural treasures; a highly entertaining show which will keep you amused throughout. A trip to Prague without seeing the Marionettes would be a great pity. The show lasts for about 2 hours and you will be using Prague s modern underground system to get there. Karlstejn Castle A three quarter day tour to Charles IV s magnificent country house. A guided tour inside the Castle is included followed by plenty of free time for shopping and lunch in this atmospheric village located one hour from Prague. It is well worth a visit and definitely not to be missed. Hotels Prague - Hotel Duo The newly refurbished four-star Hotel Duo has very comfortable rooms and excellent facilities, including a large and spacious lobby bar with plenty of atmosphere and a 20-metre heated indoor swimming pool, garden, internet corner, money exchange, gym, sauna, beauty parlour and a selection of souvenir shops. There is also free WiFi in the hotel. All rooms have a bath or shower, satellite TV, air conditioning, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and fridge.
