3 1. ABOUT KSA BARCELONA Kaptiva Sports Academy Barcelona is an elite soccer academy that offers the best soccer programs to talented players from all over the world. The KSA Barcelona s main goal is to help our players to reach their full potential through a fully integrated soccer program. Our coaches have proven experience on training professional teams & clubs regardless of size, age and levels. Our unique and exclusive methodology created by our experienced UEFA Pro Technical Directors is the key of our great success. We believe that training, living and/or studying in a foreign country is an invaluable experience that a player will never forget and the benefits of such experience will be embedded positively into that individual for the rest of his life. In the past years KSA Barcelona has developed players that after his enrollment in our academy, have played in National Team games, played for professional Clubs in their countries and got scholarships for USA top Universities. 2

4 2. CALENDAR Kaptiva Sports Academy Barcelona programs are following the Spanish Soccer Season calendar. From January 9th to June 22nd according the Club s calendar. The trainings are carried out from Monday to Friday. Clubs play competition leagues during the weekends. During the season, our program has one holiday period: Easter: April 10th 2017 to April 17th 2017 Please do not organize vacation holidays or leisure travels during soccer activity sessions and games. 3. PRO SOCCER TRAINING Our Pro Training is conducted by our UEFA Pro Coaches who provides a unique and successful soccer methodology allowing participants to reach their full potential and their goals. KSA coaches will work on those aspects that the player needs to improve; individually, technically and tactically. The soccer training methodology implemented by our Technical Staff is based on the principles of the Spanish soccer methodology. KSA players will be training in a daily individualized session with our Coaches from Monday to Friday (90min). All practices are MANDATORY. 5 4. CLUB ENROLLMENT / TRAINING Thanks to our collaboration agreements with a large number of clubs, we cover all competition category levels, from local leagues to National categories. Academy players will be enrolled in a club, depending on their level, ensuring their continued development and the chance to increase their competitive skills. To be enrolled in a Club means 100% commitment. Do not expect to play for the Club if you don't attend practices. Clubs normally train 3 times per week around 20:00pm to 22:30 time zone. 5. 6 . ACCOMMODATION (NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE) Kaptiva Sports Academy will recommend the most convenient accommodation for our players based on their needs. KSA player is free to choose where to live, but we are able to offer some options: Student Residence on a University Campus: A convenient location near the training ground with everything you need nearby. Single rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Meal are not included on the price but rooms have a small kitchenette. Private rooms or Apartments: We can help you out on looking for a rental place near the training ground on the quiet and safe city of Sant Cugat. Barcelona living: Another option you can explore and consider is Barcelona. This option will allow you to live the Barcelona experience 100%. Our training facilities are well connected by public transportation. 5

7 7. LANGUAGE STUDIES KSA players will be enrolled in a Language study program offered by Europa International School. The language programs (English or Spanish) consist in 15hours per week and for from Monday to Friday at 1:00 pm to 19:00 pm. Language classes are offered from beginner levels to advanced students. VISA PROCEDURE Kaptiva Sports Academy Barcelona will provide, once the reservation for the program has been formalized, all necessary documentation for those students who do not reside in European Union countries. It is the student s responsibility to contact and get an appointment in the Spanish Consulate/Embassy in the country of residence in order to obtain the visa. KSA Lawyers will be in charge of the initial and renovation process of the residence cards for all players.

8 10. ADMISSION PROCESS Prepare documentation about the player s background: a. Teams and clubs played in. b. Championships and leagues participated in and titles if any. c. Statistics: matches played per season, average minutes played per game during season, etc. In case we approve your application, we will send you the acceptance letter Contact us to make sure the program you have chosen fits all your expectations. Review and sign the program contract. Kaptiva Sports will start to work on visa requirements (if necessary). We will provide you with all the original documents you need to bring to the Spanish Embassy. Send us the arrival information of the player in order to arrange airport transfers Confirm and accept the final budget by sending the deposit payment. Prepare documentation you need to bring with you to Spain. We will send you a player guide with more detailed information. We will be waiting for you at the airport!!! 7

9 11. PAYMENT PROCESS In order to confirm the participation in the KSA program, the final budget must be accepted by paying the deposit payment. Please note that the full payment has to be done before start the program. Full Season Pro Soccer Program Total Fee: Deposit Payment: st Payment: The payment method is by bank transfer and must be processed before start the program. 12. CANCELLATION POLICY The deposit payment is a non-refundable amount. It will secure your spot at the program and will authorize us to send you the documents required to process your visa, health insurance, school pre-registration and all the necessary paperwork. There is a 4 months program commitment that will not be refundable. After the 4 months commitment, if you decide to cancel the program, KSA will charge you the month you cancel plus the following month and KSA will refund the remaining balance.
