It also provides information on underlying determinants of malnutrition including household food security, caring and breast feeding practices, health, environment, maternal and child health care services. Irregular The report reveals the disaggregated data on gender statistics, especially on population, fertility and contraceptive use, health & nutrition, morbidity and health services, disability, economic participation and gender, education, expenditure & poverty, women expenditure & poverty, empowerment, violence against women, etc. The major focus of this report is an analysis on children aged up to18 years and women aged years to show the patterns of social development outcomes across the areas and population groups, with light on a composite deprivation index to measure progress and produce maps with geographical location. The maps will provide a uniquely powerful visualisation of the issues.

The data of this survey is considered as the main source in Bangladesh for estimation of poverty and its correlates.
