2 THE BIG SEVEN AGAPÉ S NATIONAL STRATEGIES PRAYER MOVEMENT Though prayer has always been vitally important to the work of Agapé, we believe that we need to prioritise prayer in a new way, keeping it at the centre of all we do. We will integrate prayer into our planning our action, inspiring, mobilising enabling life-changing prayer amongst our staff, associates support network. 2. EFFECTIVENESS IN EVANGELISM We believe that in order for people to see, hear, underst respond to the eternal gospel we must continually pursue an up-to-date relevant understing of changing cultures contexts to seek new ways to connect people with Jesus, across every area of ministry. We will therefore foster an environment of learning, experimentation evaluation in evangelism discipleship. We will look to learn from what others are doing, as well as share what we ourselves have learned. 3. BEACON CITIES We believe that the transformation of the UK will happen through the transformation of our cities. Working with the whole body of Christ, we will therefore establish Beacon Cities where transformational spiritual movements of multiplying disciples are having an impact in all the sectors of society targeted by Agapé in the city, providing models for others to learn from apply appropriately. 4. VOLUNTEER MOVEMENT We believe that Agapé s contribution to movements of spiritual transformation in the UK cannot depend only on full-time staff, but must rely on the work of many committed volunteers working across each of our priority areas beyond. For this reason we will focus, where necessary, reshape our ministries around locally developed, nationally connected volunteers. This will have a significant impact on the ways we train, resource communicate. 5. HEALTHY STAFF TEAMS We believe that to develop Beacon Cities grow an effective volunteer network we need to ensure that we have competent confident staff who are themselves part of healthy staff teams. We will therefore invest deeply in setting a clear purpose direction for the ministry as a whole as well as for every team. We will also nurture excellent leadership, develop implement appropriate training, invest in staff care facilitate the discovery maintenance of full support for every staff member. 6. COLLABORATION & PARTNERSHIP We believe that Agapé must work with the wider body of Christ in order to play our part in bringing spiritual transformation to the UK beyond. We will therefore seek out strategic partnerships collaborations with other organisations churches where we can make an appreciable contribution to their ministry they can do the same for us. 7. INTERNATIONAL SENDING & RECEIVING We believe that to see a generation of disciples transforming this nation being sent throughout the world, every staff member volunteer needs to be growing in their commitment to God s mission in the world, as evidenced by their praying, giving going. We also believe that we must welcome qualified called individuals from other countries who would come serve alongside us here in the UK to help fulfil our mission. We will therefore provide frequent opportunities for staff volunteers to serve God beyond their immediate locality. We will back these up by providing vision, care support for those we send receive.
