12 Challenge Put up your hand if you are in front of a SMART Board right now? Move the red pen to the blue pen slot, the blue pen to the green pen slot, the green pen to the red pen slot. Pick up the green pen in your right hand followed by the red pen in your left hand. STOP. What colour will the ink be if you are righthanded? Why?

13 Challenge Right click (or control click) on the work area and change the background colour to green. Provide a thumb's up once you have been able to complete this task.

14 Challenge Hands up if you can tell me two ways to orient your SMART Board.

16 Challenge You will be given 3 minutes. During that time I want you to figure out how, in Notebook, to type the following in red, with 28 point Comic Sans font: I am so SMART.

19 The Floating Toolbar Access the power of Notebook in any application

20 The Floating Toolbar If it is not already on your screen, you can launch the Floating Tools by selecting the SMART Board icon located in the Windows Notification Area at the bottom right of your screen, and choosing Show Floating Tools from the menu. Don't see the icon? Click here for instructions.

21 The Floating Toolbar If you can't see the SMART Board icon in the Window's Notification area, go to Start>All Programs>SMART Technologies>SMART Board Drivers>SMART Board Tools Still don't see it? It could mean you don't have SMART Board drivers installed on your computer. To install the drivers, visit: NB10DriverOnly.htm

22 The Floating Toolbar If it is not already in your dock, you can launch the Floating Tools by going to Applications. Open the folder titled SMART Board drivers and drag the icon into your dock. Still don't see it? It could mean you don't have SMART Board drivers installed on your computer. To install the drivers, visit: SMART+Product+Drivers/SMART+Product+Drivers+10_6+for+Mac/SMART+Product+Drivers+10_6+SP2+for+Mac

23 The Floating Toolbar By choosing the icon on the Floating Toolbar you can customize the toolbar to include any tools you use frequently.

24 Challenge Customize the floating toolbar to include the spotlight tool. Select the link and spotlight the picture of an Orca whale.

26 The Ink Layer Link to the web to show how you annotate and save notes outside of Notebook software

27 Challenge Select the link. Circle the Minister of Education and write his name. Save what you have done to Notebook.
