2 DEVELOPMENT Fiji Table Tennis development activities over the next 5 years will focus on Schools, communities and districts through its Outreach programs, school clinics, holiday clinics, training camps, talent identification programs and regular competitions for various age groups and skill levels extending as far around Fiji as our resources can provide.ftta will also endeavor to set up more table tennis centres in each district through the strengthening and establishment of District Associations by encouraging local residents to take up executive/administrative roles, coaching accreditation and supported by FTTA with equipment for each centre. FTTA have been employinga full time National Development Officer since 2014 as well as 4 ITTF accredited development officers whoare responsible for leading the development of Table Tennis Nationally in line with this Action Plan. The NDO and Development Officers are assisted by part time or volunteer DOs and community/school coaches who have all attended ITTF Coaching courses conducted in Fiji in the last few years with the DOs to undergo more on the job training (including under our international coaches) as well as higher level coaching accreditation, overseas seminars/workshops and coaching duties in tournaments locally and abroad In addition to the NDO FTTA will also be continue with its Volunteer DOs in Suva and other districts for up to 5 school visits per week/30 weeks in Primary schools in each district. Overall we aim to establish more school leagues, encourage more registered players (up to 200 annually) to come through the school route. In addition the establishment of school clubs and the promotion of Junior/Cadet leagues will see a large increase in activity in schools. We will work specifically to promote those clubs that have junior sections, encourage the introduction of beginner level inter league competitions and facilitate local leagues. In addition we will promote local league squads to compete at National competition level.

5 COACHING, VOLUNTEER COACHES and TECHNICAL OFFICIALS The NDO will focus on increased levels of active coaches and administrators during the period of this plan. We also aim to produce a Volunteer Plan to bring existing schools, communities, business houses and new people into the sport. Volunteers are essential to underpin new growth, at grass roots, in schools, promotes both participation and performance. FTTA also plans to organize more introductory certification levels and increase the number of officials able to beumpires and to run tournament. Sport and local ITTF L2 coaches/course conductors to run future ITTF PTT L1, Community and School Teacher coaching courses. OBJECTIVE 2016 TARGETS 2017/2018 TARGETS 2019/2020 TARGETS Increase the number of ITTF-PTT and ITTF level 1 accredited Coaches Follow up on accredited ITTF PTT and Level 1 Coaches to be active and identify those who wish to get accredited- Increase to 10 Increase ITTF PTT Coaches to 20 including upskilling school coaches to this level and advancing at least 2 coaches to ITTF L2 level Increase ITTF PTT Coaches to 25 including upskilling school coaches and advancing 4 coaches to ITTF L2 Increase the number of Youth Leader Volunteersie Community and School coaches Conduct Youth Leader, School Teacher & Club Coach courses for interested participants insuva and West- 20 Increase Community and school coaches to 30 including upskilling Community Coaches to School coach status. Send at least 4 umpires to overseas events Increase accredited umpires to 40, National Umpires to 10, Tournament controllers to 10. Send at least 6 umpires for overseas events. Encourage at least 2 umpires to become International Umpires Increase the number of active Officials & Umpires from the previous year by 50% MARKETING, COMMUNICATIONS & ADMINISTRATION Raising the profile of table tennis with the wider public is the focus of the marketing/media function through the recruitment of amarketing/communications Officer and a Administration/Finance officer to work in conjunction with the Coaches, NDO,other Dos and well as management and executives. Through increased awareness in schools,community table tenniscentres and joining national/major events, the public will become aware of the benefits of our sport both at recreational, health and competitive level. Posters/flyers campaigns and our FTTA Facebook page will be reinforced by a newly created FTTA website to include local/international table tennis news and links as well as an introduction of blogging. The increased interaction of our sport with the public will be a catalyst to encourage external businesses to work together with us and sponsor Local & National Table Tennis in our key goals over the next 3 years and beyond to 2020.Increased revenue to carry our more activities will require timely financial reporting, more accountability and effective financial management
