3 TRANSPORTATION GETTING TO THE INTERCHURCH CENTER Getting around New York City is much easier than many people expect. You have several options: bus, subway, taxi, and car service. Your host at Global Ministries can help you discern your best option. Often the most convenient way to travel into New York City from the airport is by taxi or private car service. Tell your driver to take you to West 120th and Claremont Avenue by Riverside Church. AIRPORTS Taxi from LaGuardia Airport (LGA): Follow signs to Taxi Stand (metered fee, plus tolls, and tip). Another public transportation option is to take the M60 bus to Broadway and W. 120th Street. The estimated time for either option is about 45 minutes pending unexpected traffic slowdowns/rush hour. Taxi from Newark Airport (EWR): Follow signs to Taxi Stand. Ask the driver what the charge is to Upper Manhattan. The estimated time is a bit over an hour, pending unexpected traffic slowdowns/ rush hour. Taxi from Kennedy Airport (JFK): Follow signs to Taxi Stand. This will be at a flat rate fee.
