1 RefectoCil Eyelash and Eyebrow tints Why is it so important to use a non oily eye makeup remover before eyelash and brow tinting? To reach the best possible tinting results, lashes and eyebrows have to be clean, non-oily and dry. Therefore please use a non-oily eye makeup remover even if you are not wearing any eye makeup. Afterwards please dry the skin thoroughly. Before every eyebrow and lash tinting treatment the hair should be cleaned with a non-oily eye makeup remover. This is really important because the hair has to be totally oil free and completely clear of any makeup residue. Only then can the best possible and long-lasting tinting result be achieved. How can I protect my skin from staining? When tinting the eyebrows it is helpful to apply the moisturizing RefectoCil Skin Protection Cream around the eye area to protect against staining. Avoid direct contact of the cream on the brows and lashes as these will then not be tinted. What is the correct application time for tinting eyelashes? The correct application time for lashes is 10 minutes. What is the correct application time for tinting eyebrows? Generally one can say that the color effect is increased with the prolongation of the application time. Depending on the initial color, the structure of the hair and the desired color intensity the application time can be varied. For light colored eyebrows we recommend a shorter application time of approx. 3-4 min; especially suitable are the shades light brown and brown. For dark eyebrows we recommend an application time of between 5 and 10 min; especially suitable are the shades brown and black. If you have little experience in tinting, remove the color paste after 1-2 minutes from one eyebrow and check the result. In case the result is not intense enough, apply the paste once more and leave for a longer duration. Is tinting of the eyebrows and lashes also suitable for men? Like the traditional hair coloration also tinting of eyebrows and lashes has been predominantly a female thing.
