3 If you ve not come across an affiliate scheme before the concept allows an affiliate (person or company) to earn commission in exchange for sending visitors to another company s website. The 123-reg affiliate programme is simple and best of all it is completely FREE to join! Sign-up as one of our affiliates on our programme and you'll get a choice of different size buttons and banners to place on your website you choose as many as you like. We supply the code you simply copy and paste our banner(s) into your website. We even host the banner, so you don't need to upload any graphics to your web server. When people click on the 123-reg banner they are redirected to our website. At the same time, a special piece of information (called a cookie) is set up for the customer. Every time they order from our website, we can identify that this sale came from your website. The cookie will remain live for 120 days. The best bit is, as a 123-reg affiliate you will receive commission for every sale that comes through your site! To sign up to the 123-reg Affiliate scheme is absolutely FREE! You can sign up through your 123-reg control panel by doing the following: Log into your 123-reg control panel. Scroll down to the Make money with 123-reg section and click on the Be an affiliate link. Accept the Terms and Conditions by ticking the box and click on the start earning now button. You are now a 123-reg Affiliate! You will be transferred to the 123-reg Affiliates Control Panel. To the right of the panel you will see Your affiliate details including your Affiliate ID and details of when you joined the scheme. 3

4 Once you have signed up to be a 123-reg affiliate you now need to add some links, banners and / or graphics on your website to get your visitors clicking through. All of our banners and text links will be available for you to access through the Affiliates area of your 123- reg control panel. To add a 123-reg banner or text link to your website, you will need to do the following: Log into your 123-reg control panel. Scroll down to the Make Money with 123-reg section of your 123-reg control panel and click on the Be Click on the Banners/Text links option. To promote your 123-reg Affiliate status you can opt to install a banner graphic, a text link, a flash element or simply send an . Choose the element you wish to install in your website by clicking the relevant tab. Banners and Text elements come in a number of different sizes, formats and advertising different aspects of our business. Choose the version of the element you want to use and click the copy all code button. This will copy the HTML code to your computer s clipboard. You now need to paste this code into your website page code, using an html editor. The method to do this will vary according to your software and way you create or update your website pages. Save your website page with the new code added and upload this to your hosting space. Please make sure that you overwrite the older version of your page to be safe you may wish to remove the older versions first and then upload the new pages. You are now ready to start earning your commission when a visitor clicks your banner or link. 4

5 In order to check your affiliate sales, you will need to do the following: Log into your 123-rg control panel. Scroll down to the Make money with 123-reg section of your 123-reg control panel and click on the Be The main page will show a summary of your account. To obtain more specific information, click on the Your reports tab. Select a date range you wish the report to cover from the Create a report menu. 5

6 To create the report as an Excel File, click the Download Excel file icon and save the file where you wish to store it. To create the report as a CSV File, click the Download CSV file icon and save the file where you wish to store it. To view the report on your screen, click the Generate report button. 5 Please Note: 123-reg will approve all valid sales (sales that have not been detected as fraudulent) that are over 60 days old. This is to combat credit card fraud, charge backs, bad debt and credits for cancelled sales. You have the option to select payment by way of credits or via cheque. When the minimum 25 threshold is reached, 123-reg will pay your commission in accordance with the payment preference you have selected. To choose your payment preference: Log into your 123-reg control panel. Scroll down to the Make Money with 123-reg section of your 123-reg control panel and click on the Be Click on the Your earnings option. Scroll down the page to the Payment settings section and choose your preferred payment method by clicking the relevant radio button. 6

7 Click on the save payment settings button. Please Note: If any payment is in progress then any changes to your payment method will not take effect until the next payment run. 6 Earning money is the aim for affiliates so we ve made it easy to view the payments that you have already received from the 123-reg affiliate scheme and what is still to come. Follow these steps: Log into your 123-reg control panel. Scroll down to the Make Money with 123-reg section of your 123-reg control panel and click on the Be an affiliate link. Click on the Your earnings option. On this page there is a summary detailing any recent commissions and monies paid out to date. Outstanding commission is approved sales for which payment is due (i.e. those over 60 days old that have not been detected as fraudulent). Pending commission are those still awaiting approval checking by 123-reg and still within the 60 day period. Commission summary details the total paid out to date to you under the scheme 7

8 Scroll down the page for a more detailed Payment history. Any previous payments are listed here in date order, along with the amount paid and what method of payment was used. Please Note: You may also wish to consider this information with a report generated using the instructions How do I check my affiliate sales? detailed above. We offer different levels of commissions for the variety of products and services on 123-reg. To view current commission rates: Log into your 123-reg control panel. Scroll down to the Make Money with 123-reg section of your 123-reg control panel and click on the Be Click on the Commission rates tab. The current rates of commission are listed by product name 8

You can check out the latest news and offers by following the instructions below. Login to you 123-reg control panel. Scroll down to the Make Money with 123-reg section of your 123-reg control panel and click on the Be Below the summary of your affiliate account on the main page you will see details of one of the latest offers. If you want to find out more about that offer and / or other recent offers click the more link at the bottom of the story. Alternatively, scroll down the page to the Tools and information section and choose News. To subscribe to the 123-reg Affiliates newsletter and have details of the latest promotions sent direct to your box follow these instructions: Login to your 123-reg control panel. Scroll down to the Make Money with 123-reg section of your 123-reg control panel and click on Be an affiliate option. 9 9

10 On your affiliate account main screen you will see a small box on the right of the page headed Newsletter settings. Click the button alongside Yes please and click on the save button. When you signed up to 123-reg Affiliates you will have clicked to confirm your agreement to the terms and conditions. You can view these at any time: 1. Log into your 123-reg control panel. 2. Scroll down to the Make Money with 123-reg section of your 123-reg control panel and click on the Be 3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Affiliate terms & conditions option. If the 123-reg Affiliate scheme isn t for you, to remove yourself from the scheme you simply need to remove the banner code and text links from your website. 10
