Breakfast is available each day when participating in an additional activity. Breakfast is also available to pupils not participating in an additional activity when pre-booked in advance at a charge of 1 per day. 2 Baby and Nursery Fees Please see the relevant fee sheet. PAYMENT OF FEES AND DEPOSITS Registration Fee A non-refundable fee of 75 is payable at the time of application for a place. Refundable Deposit A deposit is required to be paid upon registration and acceptance of an offer. This deposit is held on account and is refundable the term after the pupil leaves Moira House, provided all financial and contractual obligations have been met. Deposits vary for each Key Stage and reflect the expenses incurred at each age. Day Pupils: Nursery 250 (pro-rata) Reception-Year Years Years Sixth Form (Years 12 and Boarders: UK resident 1,000 Non-UK resident 1,500 Top up on deposits are payable on transition, which will appear on the Autumn Term account. The first term s fees are payable in advance for all non-uk resident boarders to assist with the completion of visa requirements. Following the registration and acceptance of a place, a term s notice in writing is required to be given should cancellation be necessary. The deposit would be non-refundable if notice is not provided as stated. Settlement of Accounts Fees are payable in advance on or before the first day of term. The Council (the School s Governing Body) reserves the right to impose a 2% surcharge per month on overdue accounts and/or refuse to accept a pupil if the account has not been paid. CHARGES: COMPULSORY English as an Additional Language 380 per term A compulsory charge for international students depending on language ability following an assessment by the School. Laundry Laundry charge for all boarders 35 per term Public Examination Entries These are charged in advance where possible. This is available at a daily rate of 3 (subject to availability), a termly rate of 100 per term in advance (non-refundable) or 5 for short notice daily care. 4 INSURANCE Pupils are strongly recommended to be properly covered by insurance whilst at Moira House Girls School. Details of insurance cover currently on offer are sent out with the offer of a place (including Personal Accident, Personal Effects and School Fees Refund Scheme). Details of optional charges and insurance policies are available from the School s Finance Office. Health Insurance (compulsory for non-uk boarders/optional for all other pupils) Charge per term 70 Travel Insurance (compulsory for all students to cover all School trips in the UK or Worldwide Annual charge 5 PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES Advance Payment of Fees Details available from the School s Finance Office. 5 SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES A limited number of Scholarships and Bursaries are available each year. Internal applications are processed each November. External applications are processed in February. Successful external Scholar applicants will have access to a means tested Bursary. Details are available from the School s Admissions Office. SIBLING DISCOUNT A 5% discount is available on all tuition fees for the second and any subsequent sibling (applicable to pupils in Reception and above). NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL One term s notice in writing is required for leavers, with the exception of Year 11, when two terms is required. Should notice of withdrawal not be received, fees in lieu would be charged according to the required notice period. FEE INCREASES All fees, deposits and charges are reviewed at least annually by the Council (the School s Governing body). Increases normally take effect from September. Page 5 of 5
