15 PREPARATION Proper preparation shortens the cultivation period and provides a higher flower production. Preparation Our Calla specialists are constantly up-to-date with the latest developments. By collaborating with various Research Institutions we know for sure that we are preparing Captain Callas in the most efficient and best ways possible. A good Calla tuber has a short growing period and a high flower production so there is good reason why we always want to be up-to-date on the latest developments in propagation, cultivation and preparation. PROPAGATION Together with our Growers we strive for the best quality tubers. MONITORING Upon arrival, crops are always inspected by quality inspectors from the Bloembollenkeuringsdienst (Flower Bulb Inspection Service), along with our own quality inspectors also performing strict controls. For example; batches are assessed on the proper size, tuber form and health, therefore the forcer is always assured delivery of virus-free, healthy flower bulbs. By conducting tests together and sharing our experiences we optimise the cultivation for every Captain Calla variety so that you are always assured of the best tubers for optimal flowering results.
