1 DISCIPLESHIP Our church believes that when we become a disciple of Jesus, it radically transforms not just our religious practices, but the way we relate in our relationships. As a disciple of Jesus it fundamentally affects three relationships: UP - our relationship with God IN - our relationship with the Body of Christ OUT - our relationships with those far from Jesus UP Relationship With God OUT Relationship With Those Far From Jesus HEAR AND OBEY IN Relationship With The Body This spiritual survey is our attempt to assess the spiritual condition of our people in the church. It will be done yearly and improved over the years.

2 No. of People Surveyed people (64%) Average Chapel attendance people DEMOGRAPHICS Our church compromises of a slight majority of females than males - it s important to encourage and provide opportunities for females to be involved in leadership and ministry to help serve and lead the women in our church. At least 65% of our members are under the age of 50 - we have a healthy balance of age groups. 83% of our members are baptised Christians - the way our church is going to grow is to equip the existing 83% to live missionally and make disciples and baptise those far from Jesus. 3 SUNDAY SERVICES Over 82% of our members attend Sunday services weekly - the majority of our members see Sunday services as a priority of our spiritual walk with Jesus. At least 56% of our people have invited at least one person to our services in the last 12 months - as part of our growth strategy is to encourage the other 44% person to extend an invitation to someone this year. The top four barriers to inviting non Christians involve relational, logistical and friendship issues - it highlights the importance of the local church, and provides us the insights to equip our people to overcome their relational fears and to encourage them to expand their relational circles to include non Christian friends. 4 RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD At least 90% of our people are reading the Bible once a week out of which 60% of our people are reading the Bible 3 times a week - our people see the importance of the Word of God to foster their relationship with God and majority of the people are trying to read the Word. At least 56% of our people know how to hear God speak consistently when reading the Word of God - half our people are experiencing intimacy with God through the Word. At least 95% of our people view the Bible as God s Word and 72% of our members experience God s word as life changing and life giving when they read it - the remaining 28% find the Word an obligation and lack the skills to study the Bible with a small minority viewing it as a book of teachings/advice. 5 RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BODY At least 83% of our people are in life groups - our people see the value of belonging to a community of believers The top three motivations for belonging to life groups are friendship, spiritual growth and serving - our people want to serve, experience spiritual growth and support through a smaller community of believers. 6 RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BODY At least 57% volunteer once a month at our church. 37% of people do not currently volunteer in our church - it is important to communicate the importance of serving as part of how we grow spiritually in our relationship with God and become a disciple of Jesus. At least 45% of people feel they are currently serving God s people with their gifts/passions - it is important for us to help motivate, and help existing people identify their gifts and passions and provide opportunities for them to serve in the church and outside. 8 RELATIONSHIP WITH THOSE FAR FROM JESUS 23% of our members are consistently intentional in looking for opportunities to share their faith - this helps us identify where we are at with our vision to see gospel-centred people living on mission in everyday life. The top 4 discouraging factors for sharing our faith relate to skills/knowledge, busyness, fear and confidence - this provides us specific insight to the areas of equipping and encouraging.
