5 Quick Guide to Implementing Predictive Analytics rapid-deployment solution: Sales & Marketing 1 Purpose This quick guide provides an overview of the information for implementing sales and marketing processes for the SAP Predictive Analytics Content Adoption rapid-deployment solution. This document only provides a general overview and explanation of the processes necessary for planning, deploying, and administering this analytic application. For more information about, technical requirements, specific installation instruction, or administering and using this solution, see the related documentation this overview examines. 6 2 Solution Overview Business Consultant The SAP Predictive Analytic Content Adoption rapid-deployment solution for Sales & Marketing uses a predictive and statistical approach to uncover and predict trends for a competitive edge. This solution uses existing SAP analytic tools to forecast sales, and to uncover patterns in customer behavior and product sales behavior. Predictive algorithms are utilized in analyzing the trends and giving realistic projections based on the available customer data. The following scenarios are addressed in this package: 1. Customer Segmentation 2. Market Segmentation 3. Sales Forecast 4. Market Campaign Success 2.1 Localization and Language Support The initial release of this application is available only in the English language. 8 4 System Setup & Preparation System Administrator 4.1 SAP Notes and Messages If issues become apparent after shipment of this SAP Best Practices package (and hence of this document), an SAP Note exists to document how to solve the issues. Before you start the installation and configuration this rapid-deployment solution, check the latest version of the SAP Note to obtain updates and corrections for problems that have not become apparent until after shipment. All SAP Notes mentioned must have the implementation status completely implemented. Some SAP Notes require manual action before you set the status to completely implemented. 9 4.2.2 Release and Support Package Level The deliverables of SAP rapid-deployment solutions are developed and tested in a system landscape with specific release and support package (SPS) level. If the SPS level in your system is different, there may be errors during the installation and deployment. Make sure that your system meets the minimum SPS level requirements. In case your system has an exceptional SPS level compared to the requirements, only LIMITED SUPPORT can be provided. If you need a higher SPS level in your system, FIRST import and activate the SAP Best Practices package on the SPS levels, THEN update your system to the target SPS level. The software requirements with support package levels relevant for this package are listed together with the required components the Software Requirements Guide. SAP AG Page 9 of 15

10 4.3 System setup for SAP HANA Before installing and activating the rapid-deployment solution for SAP HANA Predictive Analysis Sales & Marketing, install and configure SAP HANA. Refer to the documentation for installing and configuring SAP HANA on the SAP Help Portal and the configuration guide for this solution SAP HANA Deployment for Sales and Marketing for SAP Predictive Analytics Content Adoption rapiddeployment solution (U40). Check the release notes for this solution for any special instructions. Follow the installation and configuration guides of the required components SAP HANA Security Considerations Consider the integration between the SAP HANA database security and SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) platform security as part of your overall security methodology. There are features within each product to consider, so an end-to-end strategy conforming to the overall security methodology is important. There are various methods and techniques available to secure information available with the SAP HANA database. These range from the database storage itself, authorizations, and data transmission to external consumers of the application information. Each individual installation should have a security strategy in place to adhere to requirements and guarantee privacy and stable information provided to the business user. These techniques are found in the SAP HANA Security Guide. The SAP HANA Security Guide provides an overview of the security-relevant information that applies to the SAP HANA appliance software including the SAP HANA database. The SAP HANA database is used in different scenarios and solutions. Those solutions provide additional security guides, which cover aspects specific to the particular scenario. The security guide includes sections that address: User Administration and Authentication Provide an overview of user administration and authentication aspects. These aspects include both user management and integration into a single sign-on environment. Implementation considerations for user management include user role assignment, privileges, and restrictions. Authentication within the context of an SAP HANA database includes identification of technical users, system users, and named users. A security methodology should be determined as to how external applications authenticate to the SAP HANA database. This can be as simple as a single user for the application or granular with the introduction of named users in a single sign-on environment. Review password policies as part of the security methodology. SAP HANA supports many options for defining and controlling password policies. Review those policies for adherence to the required password policies for your organization. Authorizations Depending on the customer landscape, preferred reporting tools, and the authorization requirements, you have to decide whether to apply the authorization concept of SAP HANA, the authorization concept of the user tool (for example, SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform), or a hybrid of both. Any access to data must be enforced by corresponding privileges to insure access too only the authorized information from within SAP HANA. Various privileges exist within the SAP HANA database and should be reviewed to insure adherence to the defined security requirements. SAP AG Page 10 of 15

11 Network and Communication Security SAP HANA supports communication channel security. This feature contains multiple methods that should be researched and understood to determine which one, if at all should become a part of the overall data security model. This should be implemented according to the SAP HANA documentation. Common protocols to data providers are ODBC / JDBC. SAP HANA supports the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol to provide secure communication between itself and client connections. Implementation of this protocol is described within the SAP HANA documentation and this configuration should be considered for inclusion in the data security requirements. Data Storage Security The SAP HANA Security Guide should be reviewed for data encryption capability as well as considering underlying operating system data encryption to see how this may be integrated into the security requirements specification. 4.4 System setup for SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) platform Before installing and activating the rapid-deployment solution for Predictive Analytics for Sales & Marketing, the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform must be installed and configured. For more information about documentation for installing and configuring the BI platform, see the SAP Help Portal and the solution configuration guide: SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform Deployment for SAP Predictive Analysis Content Adoption Sales and Marketing (U42). Check the release notes for this solution for any special instructions. Follow the installation and configuration guides of the required components. Ensure that your operating system, database, middleware, application, and web servers are supported by SAP BusinessObjects software and version required by the analytic application. Ensure that your database is installed, you have created a user with database administrator (DBA) rights, and that you have the connection details. Create an instance for your SAP BusinessObjects product repositories. For the DBMS, ensure that the DBA tool or appropriate utilities are installed, to import the database schema provided by this rapid deployment solution. Contact your database administrator if necessary. Install the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform and related components with applicable service and fix packs o Consult the Software Requirements Guide for mandatory server and client tools To validate the installation, log in as an SAP BusinessObjects BI platform administrator, using the account created during the installation of SAP BusinessObjects BI platform (if not done automatically). Contact your system administrator if necessary SAP BusinessObjects BI platform security considerations The integration between different systems and the BI platform security should be considered in the overall security methodology. An end-to-end strategy conforming to the overall security methodology is important. SAP AG Page 11 of 15

12 The SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform architecture addresses many security concerns that affect implementations. The current release supports features such as distributed security, single sign-on, resource access security, granular object rights, and third-party authentication to protect against unauthorized access. For more information on detailed capabilities and techniques, see the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform Administrator Guide. This BI platform documentation provides an overview of the security possibilities that can be configured and implemented in different scenarios and solutions. Those solutions provide options that can be implemented according to a specific environment and security requirements. The administration guide includes sections that address: General recommendations for securing the infrastructure These recommendations are for securing the BI deployment and range from SSL to firewalls to password policies. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Protocol SSL can be configured between the BI server and clients to insure secure data transmission between the data provider and the BI server consuming the information from SAP HANA. Authentication Single sign-on is a feature where the BI platform can communicate externally to gather authentication credentials from an external system to validate a user of the system. Various security providers are supported and documented in the BI Administrator Guide. This configuration should be reviewed in the context of the security requirements. Password Restrictions Password restriction definitions exist for authentication with the BI server and client web browser. These options are detailed in the BI 4.0 Administration Guide. If an external security authorization is used, then this authorization is a consideration for adherence to security requirements. Report and Dashboard Security Rights Rights are the base units for controlling user access to the objects, users, applications, servers, and other features in BI platform. They play an important role in securing the system by specifying the individual actions that users can perform on objects. An administrator then controls delivery of the information to the user by restriction of the reporting object. 4.5 System setup for Apple ipad Components SAP BusinessObjects BI platform Currently, mobile reports are only supported for use with the Apple ipad tablet. Refer to the Software Requirements Guide for required operating system version. For more information about deploying the mobile application, see the building block configuration guide: Mobile Deployment for Sales and Marketing on SAP Predictive Analytics Content Adoption rapid-deployment solution (U46), which is part of the Content Library available in the Step by Step Guide for this solution. 13 5 Installation of Predictive Analytics for Sales & Marketing System Administrator The following section describes, at a high-level, the activities to be done by the system administrator or consultant installing the solution on a system. 5.1 Installation Checklist The following checklist provides an overview of the steps required to install the solution For detailed instructions on the installation of this solution refer to the Building Block Configuration Guides that are attached to the Content Library in the Step by Step Guide. Step 1: Verify the SAP HANA environment Step 2: Install SAP Predictive Analysis Step 3: Download the SAP Predictive Analytic Content Adoption rapid-deployment solution package from Service Market Place Step 4: Follow the instructions in SAP HANA Deployment for Sales and Marketing on SAP Predictive Analytics Content Adoption rapid-deployment solution (U40) in order to prepare the HANA environment for SAP Predictive Analysis Step 5: Load the data into HANA or if data is already available, map the schema. Step 6: Verify the SAP Business Objects BI environment. Step 7: Install and deploy the LCMBIAR file for Sales & Marketing scenarios. Step 8: Follow the instructions in the configuration guide: Configuring SAP Predictive Analysis for Sales and Marketing for the SAP Predictive Analytics Content Adoption rapid-deployment solution (U41) to configure SAP Predictive Analysis Step 9: Install and configure the mobile applications Step 1: Verify the SAP HANA environment Verify that the SAP HANA landscape is properly configured. Predictive Analytics Library (PAL) should be configured for the execution of the scenarios. For further details, refer to the HANA System Administration guide at and the SAP HANA Deployment for Sales and Marketing on SAP Predictive Analytics Content Adoption rapid-deployment solution (U40) included with the rapid-deployment solution. Step 2: Install SAP Predictive Analysis Install SAP Predictive Analysis (version ) from the SAP Service Market Place. Install the R environment and configure it to work with Predictive Analysis. For further instructions on SAP Predictive Analysis installation, refer to the SAP Predictive Analysis User Guide at SAP AG Page 13 of 15

14 Step 3: Download the Predictive Analytics rapid-deployment solution Download the analytic application installation package from the Service Marketplace. Review the content, which includes required files and documentation. Step 4: Prepare the HANA environment for SAP Predictive Analysis Configure the HANA instance for Predictive Analysis by following the instructions in the SAP HANA Deployment for Sales and Marketing on SAP Predictive Analytics Content Adoption rapid-deployment solution (U40). Here, you will configure the SAP Predictive Analysis Library(PAL) in the HANA environment, install the necessary solution schemas and import the business content necessary for the Predictive Analysis scenarios. Step 5: Load the data into HANA or map the schema. After successfully installing the rapid-deployment solution, you would perform the necessary steps for mapping and loading of the source system data into the solution. If the data is already available as part of an existing SAP HANA Operational Reporting rapid-deployment solution, then mapping is necessary to point to the Operational Reporting schemas. If there is no existing SAP Operational Reporting rapid-deployment solution implementation, then it would be necessary to extract, transform, and load data into the solution schema tables. The extraction, transformation, and loading of data are implemented as part of the services component of the package. The services consultant working with you on this deployment will assist you with importing the content, as specified in the Statement of Work. Step 6: Verify the SAP BusinessObjects BI environment Verify that the SAP BusinessObjects BI server environment is properly configured and that the required components have been installed. For using Exploration Views, SAP BusinessObjects Explorer is required. If SAP BusinessObjects Mobile app is to be used to display reports on Apple ipad devices, make sure that the required server component has been installed. Step 7: Install and deploy the LCMBIAR file Place the Life Cycle Manager Business Intelligence Archive Resource (LCMBIAR) file in a location the Lifecycle Management Console, which is part of the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform. Deploy the files and validate that the universe, Explorer information spaces, dashboards, and reports appear in the proper folder locations. Create the required data source connections. Step 9: Install and configure the mobile applications Install SAP BusinessObjects Mobile and SAP BusinessObjects Experience on Apple ipad tablets.
