9 Name Period Directions: After you have finished collecting data on your planet you are ready to begin your imovie Planet Tour. Open up the program imovie on your computer. Make sure that you click on file --> new project in order to start your project. Name your project. Do not use a preset imovie theme. Find images that you would like to include in your tour and put them into iphoto. You may want to create a folder to put in all your images of your planet. Click and drag them into your project library. (Make sure that you put them into your tour in the order that you want them to appear). In the lower right hand corner of the page, there will be an image of a camera. This will bring your iphoto library into the program and you can then click and drag the photos into the media section of imovie. Add a voice over narration (click on microphone and follow directions) to navigate through your tour. You may need to lengthen the slide/image time. It is preset to 4 seconds, but by clicking on the little 4 near the slide, you can change the time. 8 seconds is suggested. To add text, click on the T in the lower right hand corner near the camera icon. Click and drag the type of text that you want over the clip that you want to have the text. This is a great way to add facts to your tour. Add transitions (rectangle with triangles icon in lower right) between images if you have any extra time or you finish early. When completely finished, save your imovie to your flash drive. Make sure you also save a copy to your teacherʼs flash drive. ( Share --> Export Movie and click on your flash drive). Suggested Requirements: All planets: Planet Name Where planet is located (near what constellation right now) Can we see this planet at night right now? Basic Facts (Day/Year, Distance from Sun, mass, density) Appearance of Planet Rings or moons and how many Outer planets only: Major Moon Selected to Focus On Appearance of Moon Weather, Atmosphere, and Surface Information Water on Moon imovie Planet Tour Inner planets only: Add multiple pictures showing different types of information about the planet Weather, Atmosphere, and Surface Information Information on Explorations Missions to that Planet Water on Planet **THERE SHOULD BE A PICTURE FOR EACH PIECE OF INFORMATION. MAKE SURE TO ADD TEXT TO HELP THE CLASS LEARN MORE ABOUT YOUR PLANET.
