Through working in school full time, she has been able to work alongside teachers in the teaching of PE, improving their confidence and knowledge in the subject, as well as modelling PE teaching across both key stages. Our PE lessons across the school are now all of high quality. Our staff are now able to transfer those skills when teaching their own PE lessons without the Sports Coach. Our extra-curricular provision is extremely popular, we have lengthy waiting lists of pupils to attend lunchtime and after school clubs. Girls and boys alike are now engaged with sports & activities and are keen to participate in their own time to develop their skills and more importantly, enjoy sport and physical activity. We now participate in a wide range of sport competitions and tournaments with other schools, recognising the competitive element of sport & physical activity as well as developing good sporting behaviour. Our Sports Coach is fully involved in all of these competitions and regularly arranges them with other schools who use Sports Plus Scheme.
