1 OPEN MIC JAZZ 2016 GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World 1) Entrants To provide a platform for up and coming non-professional singers to show off their talent in a competition form in the Jazz Genre; To expose the entrants talent to the general public through Open Mic Jazz (OMJ) 2016; To inspire entrants to further their careers in music with the aid of GrandWest, Spotlight Music and its associates. 2) Entrants criteria A non-professional singer is defined as: 1. Sole source of income is not yet from singing; 2. Does not yet dedicate his/her time to generating income from singing; 3. This person may currently play in a band but generates income from sources other than from the music industry as a singer; 4. This person must have aspirations of becoming a professional singer; 5. Someone who has not released an album that has received airplay on radio. 4 OPEN MIC JAZZ 2016 Golden Valley Golden Valley Casino is once again invited to participate in the GrandWest Open Mic Jazz Singing Competition auditions in There will be two audition rounds held at the Golden Valley held on Thursdays 1 and 8 Sept 16. There will be 20 entries per night. Successful contestants will be notified should they qualify for the further rounds to take place at GrandWest. They will be responsible for their transport and accommodation on these evenings. 1) Entrants To provide a platform for up and coming non-professional singers to show off their talent in a competition form in the Jazz Genre; To expose the entrants talent to the general public through OMJ 2016; To inspire entrants to further their careers in music with the aid of GrandWest, Spotlight Music and its associates; Only 40 entries will be allowed (20 per night for 2 nights). 2) Entrants criteria A non-professional singer is defined as: 1.
