In this range you will find both standard lights as well as beacons which comply to the requirements of the European ECE REG 65 standard. The beacons are equipped with the latest generation LEDs with the use of modern optics. Because of the various mounting options Intertruck can supply a beacon for every application. As for all Intertruck brand products, when quality matters also applies for its lighting products. To ensure that the quality of Intertruck products are at least the same as, and where possible better than, the original assembly products we use a strict selection process when appointing our suppliers. Our products are only manufactured in the factories of OE producers and/or in the factories of suppliers of A-brands. The attractive pricing of these products also offers you a considerable business-economic advantage. We meanwhile see the number of customers who are using Intertruck branded products increasing because of the excellent price/quality ratio.

2 REGULATION ECE REG 65 With this brochure we would like to inform you about the European regulation on optical and acoustic signalling for vehicles and trailers. ECE REG 65 The European Directive ECE REG 65 has been effective since the 1st of March This directive defines the requirements for optical and acoustic signals for new vehicles and trailers. On 1 March 2014 the regulation for orange rotating and flashing beacons on existing vehicles and trailers shall take effect. The directive has been effective for existing vehicles and trailers of emergency services (blue) since the 1st of September Definition of directive Amber rotating, flashing or indicator light: light, consisting of one set of amber signal lighting. The set must comply with ECE regulation 65 and has been certified accordingly. The set has been mounted in such a way that the signal light can be seen from a distance of 20 m around the vehicle. This is measured at 1.5 m above the road. Class The ECE R65 standard is being divided in two classes: Class 1: rotating, flashing and indicator light with one intensity level - Orange main beacon installation - Orange secondary beacons - Blue secondary beacons Class 2: rotating, flashing and indicator light with two intensity levels - Blue main beacon installation Vehicle categories The European regulation applies to the following vehicle categories: Vehicles that have at least four wheels and are used for transporting people (Cat. M1, M2, M3) Vehicles that have at least four wheels and are used for transporting goods (Cat. N1, N2, N3) Trailers (Cat. 01, 02, 03, 04) Agricultural and forestry tractors (Cat. T) Off-road mobile machinery (Cat.
