2 WELCOME TO BEIRUT Dear colleagues and friends, On behalf of the Lebanese Society of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology (LSIDCM) and the Federation of the Arab Societies of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (FASCMID), we would like to invite you to the 17 th LSIDCM and the 4 th FASCMID combined congress that will be held on February 18-20, 2016 at the Hilton Habtoor Hotel - Beirut, Lebanon. The congress shall host a group of leading experts from the region and the world, who will also provide an opportunity to learn about state of the art issues and novelties in the field of infectious diseases. The program includes several current topics in both infectious diseases and clinical microbiology, with CME credits provided. The importance of this event, in addition to its scientific and medical scope, is the creation of close relationships and social links between colleagues in Lebanon and the Arab World, in addition to meeting world experts in their respective fields of interest.
