2 About Simbars Simbars was established by engineer, Martin Simmons, during the late 1980 s and incorporated in 2003 as Simbars (UK) Ltd; subsequently gaining an enviable reputation for reliability and consistency by manufacturing to the highest standards. This quality has been recognised and Simbars (UK) Ltd is an ISO 9001 certified company. Our quality systems and factory are inspected every six months and audited by the Loss Prevention Certification Board. The Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) is the leading international certification and approval body in security and fire protection. LPCB approvals are recognised by governments and regulatory authorities around the world. Simbars is continually working and testing with the LPCB on innovative new product developments. MATERIALS AND FINISHES Simbars (UK) Ltd is UKAS ISO 9001 certified for design and manufacture. This ensures a consistent level of quality and full traceability of materials and processes. STAINLESS STEEL SATIN POLISHED At Simbars we only use certified grades of stainless steel, grade 304L is used as our standard grade. This is then polished to a beautiful fine satin finish. Grade 316 is available on request. STAINLESS STEEL BRIGHT POLISHED Our stainless steel bright polished finish is achieved by being mechanically polished, providing a reflective finish with a high degree of image clarity. RILSAN NYLON COATING BLACK The ultimate long lasting thermoplastic coating for steel. At Simbars we have been coating with this material for over 20 years. Rilsan nylon is extremely hard wearing, scratch and chip resistant and warm to the touch. The products are fully shot blasted before being heated to 350 c and then dipped into our fluidized bed of Rilsan powder. On contact with the hot surface the Rilsan melts and flows out to a smooth homogeneous coating fully encapsulating the product, a process known as Rilsanisation. Rilsan is made from a renewable plant source and provides the perfect solution to corrosion without costing the earth. GALVANIZED STEEL Recognised for being long lasting and corrosion resistant. All our galvanizing is certified to BS EN ISO 1461 and is carried out after final manufacture ensuring a consistently high product quality. GALVANIZED & POWDER COATED Used where a specific colour is required. We sweep blast the products after galvanizing but before coating to produce a key to ensure good adhesion of the powder to the galvanized surface minimising the risk of chipping. 3 Flat Cap Bollard Bollard with flat cap, making this the most cost effective and simplistic bollard available. The clean simple form makes this bollard a true classic. 4 Mitre Cap Bollard A very popular choice, the mitre top is formed at a 45 degree angle. Stainless Steel Grade 316, Reflective Bands and Recessed Grooves. ST52-BL ST52-GA ST52-SS ST52-GR + Powder Coated ST52-BP 4 Ground Sockets Our range of heavy duty ground sockets enable secure mounting of our removable bollards. Importantly, in the closed position they do not present a trip hazard. A simple padlock fitting securely locks the bollard in position. Standard overall 350mm (other heights are available). Manufactured to suit 60mm to 450mm bollards. Extra option: Stainless Steel Grade 316.

6 Bollards with Anti-Ram Galvanized Steel Cores Combining the good looks of all of our stainless steel bollards, the addition of a high grade steel core gives added strength for situations where anti ram properties are required. Fixing style: Submerged. Stainless Steel Grade 316, Recessed Grooves and Reflective Bands. ST58-SS ST58-BP 6 Bollards with Recessed Groove The machined grooves in our range of bollards give an added dimension. Grooves can be polished to contrast with the shank of the bollard in stainless steel. Additionally they can make an excellent feature or tape can be applied. We can, of course, machine any width or number of grooves required. Minimum order quantity: Submerged, Bolt Down or Removable with a secure locking ground socket box.
