7 Step 4.4: Confirm that the LED on the front of the camera is lit solid green.

8 Step 4.5: Select your DCS- 5020L using the radio bu^on from the menu on the lef- hand side of the camera name. Enter and confirm a new password for the administrator account in the fields provided. This password will be required when logging in to the camera s web- based configurabon interface. Click Next to conbnue.

9 Step 4.6: Using the radio bu^ons, select how you wish to connect your camera to your router for normal operabon. You can choose to connect using a wired Ethernet connecbon (Ethernet cable), using Wi- Fi Protected Setup (WPS), or by selecbng an available wireless network. Click Next to conbnue.

10 4.6.1 If you selected Ethernet Cable connecbon, follow the on- screen instrucbons to connect your camera to your router using a wired connecbon. Once completed, click Next to conbnue the wizard.

11 4.6.2 If you selected By using Wi- Fi Protected Setup (WPS), follow the on- screen instrucbons to connect your camera to your wireless router using WPS. Once completed, click Next to conbnue the wizard. Note: Your router must support WPS Push- bu^on ConnecBon (PBC) in order to use this method.

12 4.6.3 If you selected By Selec?ng a Wireless Network, choose an available wireless network from the drop- down menu. If you do not see your wireless network in the list, click Rescan to search for wireless networks again. If your network requires a password, enter it in the Wireless password field. Click Next to conbnue.

13 Step 4.7.1: In order to use the cloud features of your camera, you will need to add it to your mydlink account. If you do not have a mydlink account, you can create one at this step. To add the DCS- 5020L to your exisbng mydlink account, select Yes, I already have a mydlink account, then enter your mydlink account username ( address) and password in the fields provided and click Next.

14 4.7.2: If you selected No, I want to sign up for a new account, enter the informabon required for account registrabon in the fields provided. Check the box to indicate that you accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for mydlink cloud services. Click Next to conbnue.

16 4.6.3: If you selected I don t want to enable mydlink cloud service, you will not be able to use any of the cloud services associated with your camera. Click Next to conbnue. Step 4.7: Setup is complete. A summary page with display your camera s setup details, as well as your mydlink account informabon. Click Finish.

18 2. Why can t the installation wizard on the CD find my network connected camera? This problem can be caused by a firmware upgrade on your camera. Please go to h^p:// to download the latest version of the setup wizard which supports your camera s current firmware version. 3. How do I set an administrator (admin) password on my DCS-5020L? Note: mydlink Cloud Service registrabon requires the admin password Step 1: Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the camera in the address bar (default is ). Press Enter. Step 2: The default username is admin and the password field should be lef blank. Click OK. Step 3: Click the Maintenance tab at the top and then click Admin from the menu on the lef- hand side.

19 Step 4: To change the administrator password, enter the exisbng administrator password (leave blank if you have not changed it from the default), and enter a new password in the New Password field under the Admin Password SeNng secbon. You will need to type the new password again in the Retype Password field. Step 5: Click Save to save the configurabon. 4. What do I do if I forget the login username & password of my mydlink camera? To be used if your D- Link Cloud Camera is already registered with the mydlink Cloud Service. Step 1: Open your web browser and enter h^p:// Step 2: Enter your mydlink ID ( ) and password at the login screen and click Sign in.

20 Step 3: Select the camera and click on SeNngs. Step 4: check the show password check box.

21 5. How do I reset my camera to factory default settings? Example: a. If you forget your camera s password and have not registered with the mydlink cloud service, you can perform a reset to return all settings to the factory default. b. If you can t open the login web page or log in to the device. c. If you change your network environment. d. If you want to assign device to another mydlink account. e. If you encounter a problem while registering the device to the mydlink service. f. If the setup wizard can t find the camera. Note: Afer a factory reset you will need to re- register the camera with mydlink Step 1: With the unit on, use a paper clip to press the reset bu^on inside the hole on the back on the unit labeled Reset. Step 2: Hold the bu^on down for 10 seconds and release.

22 Note: Do not unplug the power during this procedure. Step 3: The unit will then reboot. Once the power light stops blinking, the unit is reset and all senngs are restored to their defaults. 6. How do I change the LAN IP address of my camera? Example: a. You need to set up a static IP address for your camera. b. Changing the IP address from the default can prevent IP conflicts with other devices on your network. Note: If you change the LAN IP address of the camera, you will need to enter the new IP address into your web browser s address bar in order to access the configurabon ublity. Step 1: Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the camera in the address bar (default is ). Press Enter. Step 2: The default username is admin and the password field should be lef blank. Click OK.

23 Step 3: Click on Setup on the top menu bar. Step 4: Go to Network Setup and select Sta?c IP Address

24 Step 5: Change the IPv4 Address using the field provided. The new address should be within the same subnet as the factory default address (ie: XXX). Step 6: Click the Save SeNngs bu^on to save the new senngs.

25 7. How do I configure motion detection on my camera? Method 1: To be used if your D- Link Cloud Camera is already registered with the mydlink Cloud Service. Step 1: Open your web browser and enter h^p:// Step 2: Enter your mydlink ID ( ) and password at the login screen and click Sign in.

26 Step 3: Select the camera and click on the SeNngs tab. Step 4: Select the MoBon DetecBon checkbox.

27 Step 5: Select the detecbon area and sensibvity you would like using the drawing tools. Click Next to conbnue.

28 Step 6 Select the detecbon schedule and click Next. Example: Always You can also select individual days using the checkboxes, and specify a From and To Bme in the fields provided.

29 Step 6: Click finish. Step 7: Click Save to save the current configurabon and acbvate mobon detecbon.

30 Step 8: Click Save to confirm the changes. Method 2: Step 1: Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the camera in the address bar (default is ). Press Enter.

31 Step 2: The default username is admin and the password field should be lef blank. Click OK. Step 3: Click on Setup on the top menu bar. Step 3: Click MoBon DetecBon from the menu on the lef- hand side.

32 Step 4: Click Enable under the MoBon DetecBon SeNngs secbon. Step 5: Specify whether you want to Always have mobon detecbon enabled, or define a Schedule of your choosing. When choosing a schedule, use the checkboxes to select individual days, and specify a Start and Stop Bme for the schedule on each of the days selected.

33 Step 6: Specify how sensibve you would like mobon detecbon to be. Step 7: Use your mouse to define the areas of the video that you would like to monitor for mobon. Clicking once on a square within the grid will select that area of the video for mobon detecbon. Clicking the same area again will deselect the area.

34 Step 8: Click the Save SeNngs bu^on to save the new senngs.

35 8. How many types of motion detection are available on my IP camera? Selected D- Link Cloud Cameras offer 2 different types of mobon detecbon. 1. Sofware or Pixel Change MoBon DetecBon: The camera compares the change in pixels from one frame to another. 2. Hardware or PIR (Passive Infrared Sensor): MoBon is detected when an object enters the image and gives off a different heat signature.

36 9. How do I configure the audio settings on my DCS-5020L? Step 1: Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the camera in the address bar (default is ). Press Enter. Step 2: The default username is admin and the password is blank (nothing). Click OK. Step 3: Click the Setup tab and then click Audio to the lef.

37 Step 4: Click Enable in the Audio SeNngs secbon. Step 5: Change the Volume SeNngs and click Save SeNngs to retain the changes.

38 10.How do I manually upgrade the firmware on my camera? Note: All firmware upgrades should be done over a WIRED connecbon. If your camera is currently configured for wireless, plug it directly into your router before proceeding. Step 1: Download the latest firmware file for your device from h^ps:// support Step 2: Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the camera in the address bar (default is ). Press Enter. Step 3: The default username is admin and the password field should be lef blank. Click OK.

39 Step 3: Click the Maintenance tab and then click Firmware Upgrade from the menu on the lef- hand side. Step 4: Click on Browse to located the downloaded firmware and then click the Upload bu^on. The firmware upgrade will commence. Once completed, the camera will reboot, and you will need to log in to the configurabon interface again.

40 11.How do I mount my camera to a wall or ceiling? Step 1: Place the mounbng bracket where you want to posibon the camera and use a pencil to mark the holes. Step 2: Depending on the material of the wall or ceiling, use proper tools to drill two holes or screws where you marked. If the wall is made out of concrete, drill the holes first, then insert the plasbc anchors to support the screws. Step 3: The power and Ethernet cables can be concealed behind the mounbng bracket. Run the cables through the back of the mounbng bracket, securing them with the built- in guides. Be sure to leave enough cable length protruding from the top to allow connecbon to the camera.

41 Step 4: Fasten the mounbng bracket to the wall using the screws provided. Step 5: Using the supplied thumbscrew, fasten the camera to the mounbng bracket. Connect the power and Ethernet cables to the camera. Step 6: Adjust the angle of the arm on the mounbng bracket as required. Tighten the thumbscrew to lock the arm in place. 12.What can I do when Active X fails to install during my mydlink camera setup?

42 Step 1: If you have any sofware firewalls installed (Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky), try temporarily disabling them and running the wizard again. Step 2: Ensure you are running the latest setup wizard. Please visit h^p://mydlink.com/ support to download the latest version for your mydlink camera. Step 3: Check your web browser senngs. Ensure that the security level is set to Medium- high or Medium. (If set to High, temporarily lower unbl setup is complete) Open your browser (this example uses Internet Explorer ) Click the SeNngs icon, then Internet OpBons Click on the Security tab. Use the slider to drag the firewall security level down to a lower senng. Click OK to confirm the changes. Note: It is advisable to return the security senng to its original level once the installabon has been successfully completed.

43 13.How do I configure Internet Explorer to allow ActiveX Controls? Step 1: Open Internet Explorer browser. Step 2: Click the SeNngs icon and then Internet OpBons.

44 Step 3: Click on the Security tab, select Internet, then click on the Custom Level bu^on. Step 4: Ensure that the Allow Ac?veX Filtering opbon is Disabled.

45 Note: Enabling senngs will block your AcBveX InstallaBon, Note: If you have anbvirus or firewall programs running, make sure they are not blocking AcBveX controls from being downloaded or running. Make sure that you have administrabve rights before installing the AcBveX controls. 14.How do I access my mydlink camera remotely? In order to view your mydlink camera remotely through the mydlink portal or using the mydlink app, you must first register your camera to a mydlink account. This is done while running the installabon CD or camera installer which came supplied with your camera. Please visit h^ps:// to download the installer for your camera. Using mydlink Web Portal: Step 1: Log in to your mydlink account at h^p://

46 Step 2: Select your mydlink- enabled camera to view live video. Using the mydlink Lite app: Step 1: Download and install the mydlink Lite app from to your mobile device (check your camera s packaging or documentabon for compabbility).

47 Step 2: Log into the app with your mydlink username and password.

48 Tap the camera that you wish to view the live feed for from the list which appears.

49 Your live video will be displayed. Depending on the model of camera you are viewing, you may be able to control certain funcbons using the bu^ons below the live feed screen.

50 15.How do I enable a new camera in D-ViewCam? D- ViewCam is a powerful sofware package from D- Link which may be purchased separately. It is useful for monitoring a large network of up to 32 cloud cameras Step 1: Launch the D- ViewCam console. Once the console loads, click on the General SeNngs icon, then SeNng, and then click System SeNng.

51 Step 2: Click on the Camera tab. Step 3: Click Start Scan to automabcally find the IP camera(s) that are on your Local Area Network (LAN).

52 Step 4: Select one of the IP cameras that are available by checking the box in the lef- hand column. You may enter a new name for this camera and then enter the administrator username and password assigned to this camera in the fields provided. Click OK to add the camera. Step 5: The pop- up window will close and the new camera should appear on the list.

53 If a camera does not support UPnP, you can manually add a camera as per the below instrucbons. Step 1: Click Insert to manually add a network camera that is on your Local Area Network (LAN). The IP Camera Video/Server Se4ng window will appear.

54 Step 2: Enter the following network informabon for your camera: Name - Enter a name for your camera. IP Address - Enter the IP address of this camera. If you want to use a domain name, then check the DNS box and enter the domain name. HTTP Port - 80 is the default port. User Name - Enter the administrator user name for this camera. Password - Enter the administrator password for this camera. Protocol - Select TCP, UDP or HTTP. Enter the following device informabon for your camera, or click Auto Detect to detect the vendor and model informabon. Vendor - Select the brand name from the dropdown menu. Camera Model - Select the camera model from the drop- down menu. Video Channel - Select the video channel you want to assign the camera Step 3: Click OK to add your camera.

55 16.How do I set up motion detection and recording in D- ViewCam? Step 1: Launch D- ViewCam and click the Schedule ConfiguraBon icon.

56 Step 2: Select the camera(s) you want to apply the recording schedule to, create a schedule and click Configure. Step 3: Under the Mode menu, select Record on Mo?on. Step 4: Under the Original Video view, click and drag to draw a box or mulbple boxes to determine the area(s) that you want to monitor for mobon. You can also use the sliders to determine the Sensi?vity and Frame Interval for mobon detecbon. Click OK to close the Encoding OpBons and click OK again to close Schedule ConfiguraBon.

57 Step 5: Click the Start Menu icon and click Start Recording Schedule. A circle will appear in the top right corner of each camera configured for mobon detecbon recording. Green = No MoBon Detected Red= MoBon Detected

59 17.How do I set up scheduled recording in D-ViewCam? Step 1: Launch D- ViewCam and click the Schedule ConfiguraBon icon. Step 2: Select the camera(s) you want to apply the recording schedule to, then create a schedule and click the Configure icon. Step 3: Under Mode, ensure Always Record is selected. Step 4: Under the Time secbon, specify the Bme when you want the recording to occur and click OK. You can also determine how many seconds you wish Pre- record and Post- record for when mobon is detected. Note: If you want to record audio, be sure to check the Record Audio box under the audio secbon.

60 Click OK to close the Encoding OpBons and click OK again to close Schedule ConfiguraBon. Step 5: Click the Start Menu icon and click Start Recording Schedule. Note: A red circle will appear in the top right corner of each camera with recording

61 configured. This indicates that it is recording. 18.What are the system requirements for D-ViewCam 3.x? To ensure your D- ViewCam surveillance system can maintain high video monitoring and recording performance, certain minimum system configurabons are required. Note: Recording video over a long period of Bme will consume large amounts of disk space. Make sure that you have enough disk space available if you want to use the recording funcbon. You can sbll complete the installabon even if you have less than the suggested free disk space, but your ability to save recordings will be limited to the available disk space remaining afer installabon.

62 Issue: 19.Why can't I see the video from my camera on D-ViewCam? FIX: Ensure that you have entered the correct IP address of your D- Link camera, along with the correct user name and password (if they have been configured). Also check that the camera is powered on, and that the connecbon between the camera and your network is funcboning correctly. Step 1: Launch D- ViewCam and click General SeNngs > SeNng > System SeNng.

63 Step 2: Click on the Camera tab, select your camera, and click Config. Step 3: Confirm the following: Correct IP address is entered

64 Correct User Name and Password Correct Vendor and Model are selected Click OK The camera should now be displayed.

65 20.Why there is no sound on D-ViewCam recording playback? Step 1: Launch D- ViewCam and click the Schedule ConfiguraBon icon. Step 2: Click Configure.
