2 Abuela Readers Theatre Workshops Take flight in this imaginative journey with your caregiver as we explore through drama the story Abuela by Arthur Dorros. Acting Workshops Be a part of the action! Alliance Theatre teaching artists host an exciting acting workshop for all experience levels. (best for ages 5+) Art Lab Visit Art Lab, an interactive space for families to explore art together. Work with Atlanta artist Esteban Patiño (American, born Colombia, 1980), who bases his art on a system of six symbols that replace the Latin alphabet. Baby Steps The earliest encounters with art are about interacting with the visual world and encouraging babies to respond to their environment. Baby Steps, a 20-minute program, is about having a one-on-one conversation with your baby. Fam Jam You will have a blast playing along in the interactive Fam Jams with special guest Dave Holland of Beatin Path Rhythm Events. No experience is needed! Yoga Instructor Lucy Curtis leads 30-minute sessions for all levels of experience. Inspired by Eric Carle s beloved book of the same name, From Head to Toe invites the youngest audience members to think, observe and move like their favorite animals. (best for ages 0-5) Get Up, Stand Up - A Peaceful March Experience Have you ever thought, that s just not fair!? This workshop explores fairness in all aspects of the human experience. This workshop will culminate in a peaceful protest inspired by the work at the Smithsonian Early Education Center. Lloyd s Rocksteady Revue Lloyd s Rocksteady Revue performs the soulful sounds of Jamaica, including rocksteady, reggae and ska tunes, with band members from Atlanta, St. Lucia, St. Croix and Dominica.

In this drama workshop, families will create imaginative machines using their voices, bodies and imaginations! The Granny Nanny Cultural Group Performance Join us on Sifly Piazza for performances by this group of master musicians, storytellers and healers from the Maroon settlement of Moore Town, Jamaica. First formed in the early 1990s, they honor the legacy of Queen Nanny of the Windward Jamaican Maroons, Jamaica s only female National Hero. The Great Silent Grandmother Gathering Anyone who is a grandmother, has a grandmother, loves a grandmother or believes in the power of grandmothers will enjoy this special free performance of The Great Silent Grandmother Gathering by Sharon Mehdi featuring Pearl Cleage, Alliance Theatre Mellon Playwright in Residence and an all- Atlanta cast of grandmothers. The Process of Pancakes, Pancakes! Concert A concert featuring the actors and songs from the Alliance Theatre for Youth and Families production of Pancakes, Pancakes! Through Their Eyes: A Journey in Photographs View a collection of photos taken by child refugees in a representation of the Lahza exhibit. Experience life in a refugee camp through the eyes of child refugees. Toddler Tours This tour is a physically interactive experience for toddlers to engage with art. Building on budding imaginations, the tour uses dance- and drama-based strategies to interpret art & learn about museums. (best for 15 months 3 years) Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Learn about how you can put children first by trick-or-treating for UNICEF. Pick up your box and design your pumpkin carving for this year.
