1 lanning and Community Development Department 1685 Main Street, Room 115 Santa Monica, CA Tel: (310) July 25, 2016 RE: City of Santa Monica Tour Bus arking rogram Dear Tour Bus Operator, The City of Santa Monica, Santa Monica Travel and Tourism (SMTT) and Downtown Santa Monica (DTSM), Inc are pleased to offer an extension of the City s Tour Bus arking rogram. The City of Santa Monica welcomes Tour Bus Operators to our community and will continue to provide courtesy parking and use of designated active loading and unloading zones within the City to certified pre-approved tour bus operators. LEASE NOTE: Bus operators must comply with all parking regulations or are subject to a citation. The designated loading zones are to only be used when actively loading and unloading; idling and temporary parking will not permitted. If you are interested in receiving this certification please submit the enclosed application by June 23, 2016 for the program period July 1, 2016 July 1, Rolling enrollment begins June 24, During this time, operators will be notified of their approved certification, and provided identification and access within two weeks of submitting their application. The Tour Bus arking rogram is a shared venture, and its success will continue to depend, in part, on operator compliance with City regulations and program guidelines. In order to be eligible to apply for the certification renewal, please submit the following electronically to trade@santamonica.com: 1. Application (attached) 2. TC License 3. Three (3) Santa Monica sample travel itineraries that include Santa Monica for a minimum of four hours Required for application approval lease see the enclosed map and list of parking and bus loading zones for the program year. Authorized Tour Bus driver must fill in the Time & Date of Arrival line on each coupon. Upon entering the parking lot (2030 Barnard Way/Lot 4 South), submit the completed arking Coupon to the arking Operator for entry. Each vehicle must have its own arking ermit and arking Coupon. Keep the arking ermit and arking Coupons with the designated vehicle. Display arking ermit on the bottom area of the driver-side window with the city logo facing out. arking Area Restrictions: Courtesy parking for Certified Tour Bus Operators is provided at 2030 Barnard Way (Lot 4 South). ark in designated spaces only. ark from sunrise to sunset only. arking will not be available on the following dates: May 28-30, July 4, September 3-5, November 24-27, December 24-25, January 1, January 18, ark head-in only, unless otherwise directed by parking attendant.
