Lisa didn t want to buy anything, she just came with me for fun. Anyway, I didn t like any of the skirts, so we went downstairs and looked at some other things in the department store shoes first, then bags. Suddenly Lisa looked at me and laughed. She said, Look what you re wearing. Then I saw it, too. It was this red top. The old T-shirt was still upstairs. Well, we thought it was. But when we looked for it, it wasn t there. I needed something to wear on the way home, so I bought this top. Tomorrow I m going to take it to the shop again and say I don t like it. They can give me my money back. Then I m going to look for a skirt in a different shop. Nasreen: Good idea. This time you mustn t forget your T-shirt! Emma: Er Nasreen, it wasn t mine. I ve only got thirteen. Phil: Let s see. What have you got? Catwoman, Matrix, Spiderman, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings yes, I ve got that, too, The Wizard of Oz The Wizard of Oz?? Terry: Oh, that s my favourite. Phil: Oh! Terry: Now let s look at my desk, OK? This is my desk, Phil, with my mobile phone, my computer... Phil: It looks cool! And you ve got a digital camera, too! Terry: Yes. I took some pictures last week for a homework project and I want to use one or two of them. I often use my computer to do my homework. Emma: They ve got great pizzas! Mr Spencer: Mm! Let s look at the menu. OK, Sam, what s the number? Sam: It s 340 Mr Spencer: 340 Sam: 568. Mr Spencer: 568. Thanks, Sam. Italian: Good evening. How can I help you? Mr Spencer: Good evening. I d like to order a takeaway, please. Italian: Yes, sir. Today we have spaghetti and minestrone soup for only 5. Mr Spencer (whispering): Ah! They ve got minestrone soup with spaghetti for only 5. Emma and Sam (whispering): No! Pizza! Pizza with ham! Mr Spencer: Right. Can I have one spaghetti and soup then, please. And I d like, erm, two pizzas with ham, please. Italian: Fine! One spaghetti with soup and two pizzas with ham. What s your name, please? Mr Spencer: Spencer. Italian: And your address and phone number, please? Mr Spencer: 24 Wendover Road. My number is Italian: Thank you! Dr Bell: You should eat fruit and vegetables five times a day. Sam: But that s a lot! Dr Bell: That s right. It is a lot, Sam. That s why you must plan your day. You should start in the morning at breakfast. Emma: I always drink a glass of juice for breakfast. Is that OK or must I eat fruit, too? Dr Bell: Fruit juice is fine for breakfast, but the other four things shouldn t be juice. Terry: But must it always be real juice? Lemonade has juice in it, too. Dr Bell: It must be real juice, Terry. Lemonade is too sweet. Lisa: But I only eat three meals a day. How can I eat fruit and vegetables five times? 5 Dr Bell: You needn t just eat fruit and vegetables at meals, Lisa. You can also eat them between meals. Lisa: OK. But between meals I don t eat fruit and vegetables. I eat sweets or crisps. Dr Bell: You shouldn t eat too many crisps and sweets, Lisa. They are not good for you. Eat an apple. That s better for you. Terry: Well, I like apples. But I don t like other fruit and vegetables! Dr Bell: You needn t like all fruit or vegetables, but you can t just eat apples, Terry. Terry: I know, but. Emma: Terry, I ve got a fruit salad for lunch today. Do you want to try it? We were too hot in there last summer. Who have you got for Maths next year? Do you know? Lisa: No, but I hope it s Mr Smith. He s really nice. Ben: OK, maybe he is nice, but he gave us too much homework last year. Lisa: Oh, dear. Well, maybe I don t want Mr Smith, then. But he runs the Basketball Club, doesn t he? Ben: Yes, that s right. I was in it two years ago and we played games against other schools on Saturday mornings. Lisa: Saturday mornings? But then I can t get up late. Ben: Exactly. Last year I was in Mrs Carter s German Club do you remember? Lisa: Mhm! Ben: It was great! I really enjoyed it. We ate cream cakes and listened to German music, and in the autumn we went on a trip to Hamburg. Lisa: Maybe I should go to the German Club, then. Hey, maybe we can go swimming in PE lessons.
