Please look for the RSVP flyer in your child's folder after Mid-Winter Break.

3 Phantom Lake Elementary Before-School Building Access and Expectations Once a student enters the building for a before school activity, they must proceed directly to their activity and stay there until they are dismissed. Students may not be dismissed early unless escorted by staff or their parent. A student may be in the building before 8:25 a.m. in these specific locations for the following: Café: Breakfast (8:10 8:25 a.m.) Patrol Room: Crossing Guards (8:10 8:20 a.m.) Gym: Ga-Ga Ball (Tuesday & Friday, 8:20 8:35 a.m.) Rooms #204 & #205: Jumpstart (Tues, Wed, Thurs. 7:30 8:25 a.m.) Gym: Yoga (Mondays, 7:55 a.m. 8:25 a.m.) Room #113: Child Care (6:00 a.m. --8:25 a.m.) Room #103: K/1 Lego Robotics (8:00 8:35 a.m.) Students who need to report to the Broadcast room for Announcements may enter the building at 8:25 a.m. and then proceed directly to the Broadcast room. Students who need to leave an activity because of Patrol may leave for the Patrol room at 8:10 a.m. Running club participants may not enter the building before 8:25 a.m. After being dismissed from their before school activity, students must travel directly to their hallway and sit against the wall outside of their classroom until their teacher opens the classroom. 4 Hello Eagle Families- Mrs. McGaffey, Mrs. McGlocklin, Mr. Nathan, Mr. Hagan and I had a great time at the School of Distinction ceremony on January 21st at the Puget Sound Educational Service District in Renton. This honor is only given to 5% of the schools in Washington. Their theme was school spirit so your representatives all donned school colors or eagle gear. It felt SO good to sit in a room with other educators doing the good work and experiencing success. I felt so proud of all of the efforts the Phantom Lake teachers and families have put in to having sustained growth over 5 years. As a community we will keep up the great work we do with our students!

There will be a special performance from the Book-It Repertory Theater of Floura & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures *Note: Due to Mid-Winter Break there will not be a Family Third Thursday in February FLORA & ULYSSES: THE ILLUMINATED ADVENTURES Ten-year-old cynic Flora Belle Buckman and her superhero squirrel, Ulysses, star in this middle-grade adventure. Flora s parents are divorced and the comic book series Terrible Things Can Happen to You! is her favorite escape. After Flora saves Ulysses from the vacuum cleaner, he is born anew with powers of strength, flight, and misspelled poetry. Together, the dynamic duo begin to vanquish evil and help each other to believe, hope,
