SECRETARIAT The Secretariat will be operative at the Congress venue from on Thursday, December 4, 2014, throughout the Event. 13 INFORMATION PARTICIPATION A valid registration is required in order to access the conference, the exhibition and the scientific sessions. For safety reasons and regulations, badges must be visible at all times during the Congress and at the related events. In case of loss, a new badge will be provided upon payment of 15,00 and the same amount will be charged if the badge is not handed in to the Secretary at the end of the Congress. Any change of holder of membership in the Congress, announced three days before, will be subject to a penalty equal to VAT 22%. CREDITS - ECM The Congress has been included in the National Program for Permanent Medical Education of the Ministry of Health. 14 INFORMATION ACQUISITION OF CREDITS In order to acquire credits you are requested to: - Attend all Congress sessions for selected day; - Answer 75% of the questions correctly; - Ensure that the electronic badge beeps to confirm registration; - Hand over the ECM questionnaires, the duly completed and signed event evaluation forms, and the badge to the secretary at the end of the Congress. POSTERS At least one of the authors must have registered for the conference. The maximum size of posters is 50cm x70cm. The abstract (max 1 page) of the communication should be typed (paper size A4, size 12, spacing 1) and saved as a Word document for Windows and Macintosh, or sent by to: congressline@congressline.net no later than 09/30/14. Only the abstracts received via to the Organizing Secretariat by this date will be published. CERTIFICATES OF PARTICIPATION Upon request to the secretariat, all registered participants will receive a certificate for the days of actual attendance to the Congress. AUDIOVISUAL INSTRUCTIONS - Presentations can be downloaded from one s pendrive or notebook at the Slide Center provided that the speakers come there at least 3 hours before the presentation. - Presentations received after this term cannot be guaranteed audiovisual support. - Personal electronic devices cannot be connected to the projectors of the Congress venue. - Speakers who created their presentation using a system different from MS Windows (such OS MAC or Linux) are kindly requested to provide their slides in a Windows compatible format and to arrive earlier at the Slide Center, in order to have enough time to solve any compatibility issues. 1 ST ROME INTERNATIONAL MEETING ON GERIATRIC ONCOLOGY

15 INFORMATION EXHIBITION A technical-scientific exposition will be held in the Congress Venue throughout the scientific works. MOBILE PHONES Delegates are kindly required to keep their mobile phones off on the premises during the scientific sessions. NO-SMOKING Smoking is not permitted in all inside areas of the Congress venue. INSURANCE Congress organizers assume no liability or responsibility for personal injuries or loss or damage of personal belongings which may occur either during or as a result of the Congress. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN ROME Public transportation tickets can be purchased in advance from tobacconists, newsstands, bars, or vending machines at metro and major bus stops. All tickets must be validated at the beginning of the first trip either at underground station or on buses. METRO - The roman metro goes around rather than through the historic city. It comprises only two lines, A (red) and B (blue), which cross at Termini Central Station. Trains run approximately every 3-5 minutes, from 5:30 am until 11:30 pm every day (until 01:30 am on Saturdays). BUSES AND TRAMS - There are hundreds of bus lines, running from 5:30 am until midnight. The main company providing bus service in Rome is ATAC. For lines and timetable please visit TAXI - Licensed taxis are white, have an identification number, and are equipped with a taximeter. Ensure the device is turned on when the taxi picks up the call. The city center abounds also with private arists studios, restoration workshops, and jewelry stores. Galleries can be found almost everywhere in the bordering streets, like Via Margutta and Via dei Coronari, one of the most picturesque streets in Rome, which contains numerous antique dealers. Roman hotels have very few single rooms, therefore double rooms for single occupancy will be assigned once the single rooms are no longer available. Confirmation documents will be sent starting from September 30, We would like to inform you that the payment of the entire amount plus the agency fee of 20 euros is required. Please note that hotels are listed for categories/rate ranges and rooms will be assigned according to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. PAYMENT POLICY Accepted payment methods are: credits cards, cheques issued by Italian banks and Euro bank transfers. All costs to transmitters charge. Please, write clearly your name and on cheque/money orders; a copy of the payment is requested along with the registration and hotel accomodations forms. Registration and hotel accomodation will be confirmed only upon receipt of the relative payments. The settlement is required to process your reservation. Congress Line will issue a regular invoice for registration (22% VAT inclusive) and hotel accomodation (10% VAT inclusive); therefore, the European VAT code (only for EU countries) is due to be included in the forms. 18 INFORMATION CANCELLATION TERMS Any cancellation should be notified in writing to Congress Line and will be subject to the following conditions: Before October 31, 2014: refund of registration and hotel accomodation is subject to a 30% administrative charge. All refunds will be processed after the Congress. After October 1, 2014: no refund will be granted.
