Centro Multimediale di Terni outlined its proposal about new technologies based solution for improvements in urban governance. The document has been structured as follows: market framework, users, service and communication channels, services categories, boroadcasting/communication media, innovative modules (sms alerting, wireless gateway, interactive tv, digital audio broadcasting), local public transport information systems management and data untegration, logistics, city mobility monitoring activities, decision-making policies citizen participation for citizen satisfaction and related participation levels. Centro Multimediale di Terni has finalized feasibility plan and workplan about the pilot application that will be implemented through next months. The proposal thematic area has been confirmed about new technologies based solution for improvements in urban governance, in order to improve decision-making policies citizen participation for citizen satisfaction. Achieved results: Ex. Knowledge of the morphology of Baeza city in the Renaissance in order to obtain citizen heritage awareness. Citizen participation in Allariz in municipal initiatives. The pilot consisted in experimentation of feasibility about digital terrestrial television (DTT) as new communication tool between local government and citizens. The experimentation has been carried out in partnership with Terni town Council and TeleGalileo, a local broadcaster, that is already transmitting its signal through DTT. THE DIGITAL STATE: T-GOVERNMENT SERVICES A public administration that is efficient and transparent, as far as its duties and its huge informative heritage is concerned, is a sign of innovation and competitiveness for the country. The realization of such a model of e-government is based on modern and enabling infrastructures that make some basic functions possible in an efficient and safe way. The channels of access represent one of the key factors of such an infrastructure. The success of the whole e-government model depends from the effectiveness of the infrastructure itself. The Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) is one of the many innovative channels through which citizens have access to the services offered: the Internet, call centers, mobile telephones, third parts networks. The new Digital Terrestrial Television has technical features that enable it to meet the requirements of a channel of interactive services supply. This supply channel is complementary to the Internet since it addresses to a multitude of people and has a different logic of use: passive, easier, standardized and purely and typically domestic. T-government is the service supply offered by the DTT that allows having access to online information and services offered by public administration from one s television set. The run on the DTT started a few years ago all over Europe but the penetration strategies as well as the models used vary a lot from one country to another. Others data that could illustrate the partner activities as: Number of hours of work, description of technical and administrative visits, beneficiary of new devices and any others remarks that the partner consider necessary to phrase. The project has been realized with ITV Suite Professional software, released by Icareus LTD. Icareus is one of the leading companies in the area of interactive television having customers and partners in more than 20 countries around the world. Icareus was founded in 2001 and is based in Helsinki, Finland. Icareus's main customers are TV stations, operators, TV production companies and service providers. With an extensive cooperation network with leading companies and institutions, Icareus thrives on pushing the boundaries of interactive television. Icareus' vision is to offer its customers interactive TV software tools that enable them to concentrate on content instead of technology. In order to be as good as possible in what we do we concentrate on the application layer and partner with world leading companies to offer complete turn key solutions in interactive TV. Icareus's mission is to be #1 technical expert on service layer of itv, be it digital television, mobiletv, or IPTV. Company has specialized in the DVB-MHP and OCAP standards. Icareus's services include digital TV solutions delivered on a turn-key-basis, subtitling and projection tools and itv Suite content authoring platform.
