1 Low-Cost Medical s If you lack health insurance or are underinsured there are many sliding medical clinics in the Twin Cities area that may be able to help. Sliding means that the clinics base their fees upon income level and other criteria rather than on the actual cost of providing the service. Some of these clinics will even set up payment plans with you to make health care more accessible. Each clinic has a different way of determining their sliding fees so be certain to ask before your first appointment to avoid any surprise charges. Neighborhood Health Care Network General Resources This network represents fourteen sliding- clinics in the Twin Cities and Stillwater. Services include comprehensive primary care, dental, and counseling care. Visit or call CARE (2273) or for more information about these community clinics that will see uninsured patients on a sliding fee. First Call for Help This is a community hotline that is helpful in finding a variety of resources, including low-cost medical care. Simply dial and explain the service you are looking for.
