Use the Music wishes view to for example get all the media files from a specific artist. The artist browser is updated on a regular basis. However, sometimes it takes a while for a new album, song or artist to appear in the artist browser. The artist browser data is used for the recommendation function that assists you with selecting and submitting your music wishes. The wishlist also fulfills wishes for songs and artists that are not located in the artist browser. 1. Switch to the Music wishes view in the navigation pane, located on the left side of the Audials One window. 2. All recorded files will appear in the Player.

35 Music wishes: Getting music wishes fulfilled 35 Why are my wishes not being recorded? Audials One does not record my wishes. Why? Possible reasons if your wishes are not being recorded: 1. Are your wishes popular? The more popular a song is, the faster it will be recorded. For unpopular songs it might take hours or even days before they are played in any radio station, so that Audials can record them. 2. Are your settings for music wishes too strict? Manage settings for wish recordings on page 36 Step-by-Step: Recording specific albums Instead of single songs, you can add whole albums to your wish list. Step-by-Step: Recording specific albums 1. Open the Artist Browser. 2. In the Search for artists, albums or songs: box, enter an artist name. 3. Click the name of the artist you are looking for from the recommended search results. 4. Select an item in the album list. 5. Click Wish. The selected item appears on your wishlist. 6. Close the Artist Browser. 7. Click Fulfill. Audials One starts searching for your music wishes and records them. All songs of the chosen album will be recorded one by one as soon as they are played in a radio station or as Audials One finds them on a website. All recorded files will appear in the Player. Adding songs to your wishlist that are not located in the artist browser You can add songs to a wishlist that are not located in the artist database. The artist browser data is updated on a regular basis. However, sometimes it takes awhile for a new album, for example, to appear in the database. The artist database data is used for the recommendation function that assists you with selecting and submitting your music wishes. The wishlist, however, can also be used without this data and also fulfills wishes for songs that are not located in the artist browser. 1. Open the artist browser as usual. 2. Enter the complete name of the sought-after song.

36 Music wishes: Getting music wishes fulfilled Select the displayed option (this corresponds to your entry exactly) in the drop-down menu under matching tracks. 4. Click Wish, even if the list of results is empty. The artist or track will now appear on your wishlist. 5. Close the artist browser and click Fulfill. Audials One will record your wish as usual. Note: If a song is not very popular it will not be played in radio stations frequently. That means that it takes longer to fulfill unpopular wishes than popular ones. Manage settings for wish recordings Specify settings for your wish recordings to get more and faster wish recordings or recordings with a better quality. I want more and faster wish recordings Speed depends on the popularity of a wish. If an artist or a song is popular, it will be played frequently in the radio and therefore such a wish takes not long to fulfill. To speed up wish fulfilling for less popular wishes: Next to your wishlist click Manage sources > More settings >>. Radio stations: Select Also use stations which may require additional, manual editing to files. Music websites: Select Audio tracks from music videos. Search and record plugins: Click OK and restart the wish recording. I want wish recordings with better quality On the one hand songs recorded from radio stations have usually a better quality than songs recorded from music websites. On the other hand if you choose to record from radio stations exclusively you might have to wait a while before the required songs are played in the radio so that they can be recorded. To increase the quality of your wish recordings: Next to your wishlist click Manage sources > More settings >>. Radio stations: Increase the minimum bitrate. For a good audio quality, you should set the minimum bitrate to at least 128 kbit/s.

37 Music wishes: Getting music wishes fulfilled 37 Music websites: If Audio tracks from music videos or Music videos is selected, set a video minimum rating of at least 4 stars. Filter settings: Click on the bottom of the Audials window to edit your filter settings. Click OK and restart the wish recording.
