5 Atmel Norway Our Trondheim, Norway office is home to some of the experts behind our AVR and ARM processor-based microcontrollers and touch technologies. This site offers a University Liaison Program, collaborating with: The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim Sor-Trondelag University College (HiST) in Trondheim Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg in Sweden Most of Atmel Norway s 200 employees have degrees from either NTNU or HiST, so the relationship with these universities runs deep. Internship and new grad opportunities are available in a variety of areas, such as Engineering, Applications, Tools, IT, Product Marketing and Marketing Communications. Atmel Norway s student hires begin with a summer job, along with a commitment to work for six to eight weeks on a designated project. Your assigned projects factor in your level of study and the needs of the department. If you re working on your master s thesis, you ll likely be assigned to the Engineering team under the guidance of a teaching supervisor. Master s thesis students are unpaid. However, if you deliver an excellent project, your work will be considered the first part of an interview for a potential job.
