2 Key Insights Residential launches in South India increased by 27% over March 2016 In Apr 16, launches in Chennai and Hyderabad witnessed a significant increase, together accounting for nearly 53% of the combined launches of Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. While Bengaluru witnessed a decline of in new launches over previous month Hyderabad saw a year-on-year price appreciation of about five per cent, with more residential demand coming for projects in proximity to the major IT hubs News & Deals: Mahaveer group has raised Rs.120 Crore from Xander Finance in a structured debt transaction to refinance a loan from PNB Housing Finance and to complete a 122-acre plotted development in South Bengaluru Google has signed an agreement with Bagmane World Technology Centre in Bengaluru to take about 1 lac sq.ft. of office space on lease BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) capped the property tax increase at 20% for residential properties and 2 for non-residential properties in Bangalore. The hike in property tax has been partially rolled back as it touched 40% for residential buildings and 50% for commercial properties in few cases Andhra Pradesh government has decided to allow maximum 12 floors (G+11) in the residential zone, however for high rise buildings the developer must have a minimum of 1 acre in his possession Page 01
