1 Identifying Your Indak Switch Attention: If you need a GM or Ford Part, most likely the switch is proprietary. Therefore, your first step should be to contact your local dealer. If the dealer cannot help you, please feel free to contact us. Click on the link that best describes your switch: 1. Is it a rotary switch? (Do you twist a knob?) 2. Is it a lever switch? 3. Is it a key switch? 4. Is it a toggle switch? 5. Is it a push button switch? 6. Do you need something different than you are seeing here?

2 Rotary Switches 1. When you turn the knob, how many times does it click? Include the beginning position in your count. 2. How long is the bushing? Measure only the threaded portion. Face the switch towards you. Turn the knob as far left (OFF) as possible. If there are 4 or 5 terminals on the back, make sure the single one in the middle is on top. 3. What is the "D" flat position of the shaft? Is it 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock or 9 o'clock? 4. What is the "D" flat position of the bushing? Is it 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock or 9 o'clock? Here is a picture of a switch with the shaft at 6 o'clock and the bushing at 3 o'clock 5. How many terminals are on the back? Are they copper or steel? 6. Are the rivets copper or steel? 7. Is it a square case? Is it a square case with a potentiometer on top? Are there resistor coils? Potentiometer on top 8. What is the application of the switch? 9. On what type of vehicle is it used?
