1 Business Card Reader Quick Start Tutorial How to use Business Card Reader Introduction Get Card Images Capture Preview Recognition Result Save Result QRCode Recognition Signature Recognition Card Holder Settings Introduction IntSig CamCard (Business Card Reader) is an Android based application. It can capture business card images with phone-based camera, and recognize the card image content, and the recognized result is automatically organized as a contact and saved into phone address book and [Card Holder] if option "Save to card holder" is checked on settings. On the app main screen, there are 7 buttons and their functions are as following: : Start camera and enter camera viewfinder. : Invoke gallery to select an existing card image to recognize. : Start signature recognition feature, and input

2 signature, it will be recognized as a contact. : Open [Card Holder] to manage saved cards. : Open the settings for the software. : Open the quick use tutorial. : Enter the app introduction to know more about the apps from IntSig. Get Card Image To get card image: 1. Click button,then enter camera view finder. User can capture card image by clicking camera icon or OK button or Camera button, then turn to [Capture Preview] for checking the captured card image. Click to adjust the camera flash. Click to take a picture for one biz card and recognize it. Click to continuous shooting the pictures for many biz cards and recognize them in the background. If the option "QRCode recognition" is checked on Settings, app will automatically recognize the QRCode information on the image while previewing image. 2. Click button to invoke the image gallery. User can check and recognize existed card images here. The recognized result will be shown in [Recognition Result]. If the option "QRCode recognition" is checked on Settings, app will remind users whether to recognize the QRCode information if there is QRCode information on the selected image. In the phone Gallery, click Share and select [CamCard] to enter multi-selected mode. Select some card photos you want to recognize and

3 click Next. Then [CamCard] will import the selected cards and recognize them in the background. You can check the imported cards\ information in [Card Holder]. Capture Preview On the capture preview, the user can click Zoom In button to check image detail. and Zoom Out If the image quality is good, user can click button to recognize it. The software will recognize the type and content of each item on the card image. After recognition process, the recognition results are displayed in [Recognition Result]. Recognition Result On recognition result window, there are three areas, from top to bottom: item image viewer, result item editor and function buttons. In result item editor, every recognized item's type and content are displayed. The user can still change the item s type and content. If the user clicks an item's content edit, the item's image part on the card image will be displayed in item image viewer on the top window. The user can compare the image with the recognized content to make proper change. If the user doesn't want to keep an item, he can click it from item editor. The name item can t be removed. to remove Tap "Select Group" button to save the operating contacts information into the selected groups of the phone contacts. Tap "Add back side card's image" button to add the back side image of the biz card. Tap "Merge phone contacts" button to merge the operating contacts information and the selected phone contacts information.

4 To add a new item in the recognized result, the user can click button "+Add More" to add a new item. Save Result On recognition result window, click "Save" button, the recognized result will be saved as a contact into phone address book and card holder both. If option "Save to card holder only" is checked on settings, the recognized result will only be saved into the default category and "All Cards" in [Card Holder]. Before saving the result, user can choose which contact account to save the result. Run phone Contact or open [Card Holder], the user can check the contact record he just saved. QRCode Recognition Check the option of "QRCode recognition" on the Settings. 1. Open [Capture Card],app will automatically recognize the QRCode information on the image during previewing images. 2. Open [Load Image], app will remind users whether to recognize the QRCode information on the selected image if it exists. Signature Recognition

5 Copy the signature. Click button to open [Signature],app will paste the content in the clipboard to the edit box automatically (make sure each item per line). Press "Recognize" and app will automatically recognize the signature in the edit box as contact items. Card Holder Click button to open [Card Holder], the user can operate and manage the card contacts in [Card Holder]. In Card Holder, shows a back side image exists in this biz card, shows a note exists in this biz card, biz card has already taken but unchecked. shows the picture of this 1. Select card category Click button to select the card category in the pop up dialog. The default card category is marked with. 2. Capture card images Click button to capture card image. After recognition and save, the recognized results will be saved as a contact into the phone address book and card holder both. If option "Save to card holder only" is checked on

6 settings, the recognized result will only be saved as a contact into the current category and "All Cards" of [Card Holder]. 3. Quick operation Click the card image buttons at most. in [Card Holder] list, it will pop up five Click button to dial the contact s phone number. If no phone number, this button will be gone. Click button to send message to the contact s phone number. If no phone number, this button will be gone. Click button to send to the contact s address. If no , this button will be gone. Click button to login the contact s web site. If no web site, this button will be gone. Click button to view the contact s address by Google map. If no address, this button will be gone. 4. View card images Click the contact item in [Card Holder] to view the contact s card image. Click Zoom In and Zoom Out button to check the card image detail. User can slide the card image left or right to switch card images. Press menu key to pop up 5 menus. Click Click to edit the contact s content. to share the contact s content. Click to generate an ORCode image for the operating contacts.

7 Click to delete the operating contacts information. Click to rotate the image of the operating contact and save it. Click to add or check the back side image of the biz card. Click to add or check the note of the biz card. Click to invite the operating contact to join Linkedin, and to search the information about the operating contact in Linkedin. 5. Long press operation Long press the contact item in [Card Holder] list,the user can "share", "delete card", "edit", "set portrait", "Categorize" and "Export" the contact. "Export" can export the operating contact information to VCard file, Excel file, QRCode image or export to the phone contacts. If "delete card", it will delete the selected contact's content and photo in [Card Holder]. 6. Menu operation Press menu key to pop up 6 menus. Click to send messages to all of the contacts in current category. Click to send s to all of the contacts in current category. Click to manage all of the contacts in current category. Click to select all contacts in this category.

8 Click to delete the selected contacts contents and card images in [Card Holder]. Click Click to share the checked contacts content. to category the selected contacts. Click to export the operating contact information to VCard file, Excel file or export to the phone contacts. Click to manage all the card categories in [Card Holder]. Click to sort the contacts in the current category. Click to search the contact information for all the selected groups. Settings By clicking button on the app main screen, the user can set preference for the software. On the [Settings] window, there are 14 options.

9 1. "Set recognition languages". By checking it, app will recognize card image printed in the checked languages. 2. "Trim and enhance card". By checking it, after recognizing, the card image will be trimmed and enhanced while showing animation. This item will be disabled if there is no mounted storage card. 3. "Save to card holder only". By checking it, the card recognition results will be saved to the [Card Holder] only, while not be saved to phone contact. Or the card recognized results will be saved into the phone contact and card holder both. This item will be disabled if there is no mounted storage card. 4. "Display accounts dialog". By checking it, app will display a dialog for the user to choose account before save contacts. 5. "Save recognized date". By checking it, app will save the card recognized date as a note field in the contact record. 6. "Save to default category". By checking it, app will save the card recognition results into "All Cards" and the default category of [Card Holder]. Or it will only save it into "All Cards" of [Card Holder]. 7. "QRCode recognition". By checking it, app will recognize QRCode information in the image. 8. "Use the system camera ". By checking it, app will use the system camera app to capture cards, but the batch-captured function is unavailable. This

10 item will be disabled if there is no mounted storage card. 9. "Export". By clicking it, app will export data in Card Holder to sdcard for backup. This item will be disabled if there is no mounted storage card. 10. "Import". By clicking it, app will import data from sdcard to Card Holder for restoration.this item will be disabled if there is no mounted storage card. 11. "Set Password". By clicking it, app will lock the Card Holder. 12. "About". By clicking it, app will display version information. 13. "Update". By clicking it, app can get the latest version of CamCard. 14. "Report Log". By clicking it, app can send current log information to IntSig.
