Typically used for emergency shut of applications, upon power failure the valve will close until power has been restored and the manual reset mechanism has been activated. The valve can be fitted with an optional closed position indicator switch

4 Page 4 of 6 Installation: Instructions for installation in the system: 1. Before installing, check that the gas flow is shut off and that line pressure does not exceed the maximum pressure indicated on the product label. 2. The valve must be positioned downstream of the meter, preferably on the outside of the building. 3. If totally installed outside, shield from rain. 4. Make sure there are no soldering or threading residues in the piping. 5. Check that the joining pipes are aligned and not exposed to vibrations. 6. Pay attention to the flow direction marked on the valve body. 7. The valve may be installed in any position, except with the coil facing downwards (see examples). 8. Leave enough room around the valve to allow coil extraction when required, and to guarantee correct airflow (an essential safety feature). 9. Never use the coil as a lever: use appropriate tools for installation. 10. On completion of installation, check the seals. Connections: The twin-wire power cable must be connected to the terminals in the connector, when the valves are fitted with one, or to the terminal block housed in the wiring box. The valves are fitted with coils of different voltages (see page 3); connect to F, N. WARNING: as the coil is suited for receiving permanent power supply, during normal operation its surface temperature may rise to very high values; this is normal. However, when making the electrical connections, make sure that the cable does not touch the coil (use flameproof cable).
