MONDAY 02 DECEMBER 2002 ARRIVE ADELAIDE (VIA MELBOURNE OR SYDNEY) Meet & Greet at Adelaide Airport Coach transfer from Adelaide Airport to Adelaide Hilton Hotel Welcome Reception at hotel, hors d ourves are provided. 3 course dinner in function room at hotel. Accommodation: Adelaide Hilton Hotel TUESDAY 03 DECEMBER ADELAIDE PORT AUGUSTA. Morning at leisure. Luggage Storage at Adelaide Hilton Hotel. Early afternoon departure for Port Augusta by coach (approx. 3.5 hours drive). Free Evening. Accommodation: Standpipe Golf Motor Inn, Port Augusta.

2 WEDNESDAY 04 DECEMBER PORT AUGUSTA / WILPENA. Coach transfer from Port Augusta to Leigh Creek (approx. 4 hours ride). Packed picnic lunch including beverages at Leigh Creek. Coach transfer from Leigh Creek to Lyndhurst eclipse observation site (approx. 30 min. ride). BBQ Buffet/privately catered dinner at Lyndhurst, including beverages prior to start of eclipse. Coach transfer from Lyndhurst to Wilpena Pound Resort following sunset (approx. 90 min. drive) Accommodation: Wilpena Pound Resort THURSDAY 05 DECEMBER 2002 WILPENA / ADELAIDE Coach transfer from Wilpena Pound Resort to Adelaide (approx. 6 hours ride). Lunch at Wadlata Outback Centre in Port Augusta (It houses the Flinders Ranges and Outback Interpretive Centre and takes visitors through a stunning range of hands-on displays including Aboriginal Dreaming, European Settlement, geology and mining. The Wadlata Outback Centre tour includes lunch for the group. Free evening. Accommodation: Adelaide Hilton Hotel FRIDAY 06 DECEMBER 2002 ADELAIDE / AYERS ROCK. Coach transfer from Adelaide Hilton Hotel to Adelaide Airport. Flight from Adelaide to Ayers Rock. Meet & Greet at Ayers Rock Airport. Coach transfer from Ayers Rock Airport to Sails in the Desert Resort Sunset Tour at Ayers Rock with private coach and tour guide. Brief tour description: Begin with a leisurely drive around the base of Uluru (Ayers Rock) where your guide will point out a number of interesting features of the monolith, including the climb, then take you on a walking tour of Mutitjulu Waterhole where you can view Aboriginal Rock art. Take the opportunity to walk into Kantju Gorge, where after rainfall, water cascades over the side of Uluru and plunges some 90 metres to the ground. Alternatively, visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, consisting of two buildings shaped to represent the ancestral snakes of Kuniya and Liru. Learn about the culture and Tjukurpa (Aboriginal Law) of the Anangu From there you will be taken to a spectacle not to be missed on your pilgrimage to the Red Heart of Australia. From the sunset viewing area, watch as the sun sinks over the horizon and the reflection of sunlight through the evening sky brings out the many

3 shades of colour that Uluru (Ayers Rock) is famous for - all while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine. (approx. 3:30pm - sunset). Exclusive Sounds Of Silence BBQ dinner under the stars including transfers to and from the dinner location, with didgeridoo performance and Aboriginal Star Talk Nighttime observing session for those wanting to participate. Accommodation: Sails in the Desert Resort SATURDAY 07 DECEMBER AYERS ROCK (or a packed breakfast for those who go on morning climb of Ayers Rock) Morning Tour of Ayers Rock (option to climb) with private coach and tour guide. Brief tour description: From the base of Uluru (Ayers Rock) commence the climb to the summit to be rewarded with spectacular views. It s not an easy climb, and it is important to wear good walking shoes. We suggest you do not carry anything in your hands, leaving them free to assist your balance. We recommend a small backpack in which you can carry water, sunglasses, sunscreen & your camera. Towards the highest point, the surface across the top can be uneven with many steep dips, therefore you will need to stay on the defined path. The average return time is two hours. 5 GALA FARWELL LIFE ON THE LAND BBQ DINNER & DEMONSTRATIONS Gledswood The Aussie Sheep Station Experience Arrival would be scheduled around 4 PM so as to do the activities before dinner. First impressions are most important so as each coach arrives at our usual coach set down point between historic buildings to be meet by a stockman and a flock of sheep. Cocktails in the Gardens of the Homestead to be greeted by our staff in colonial dress and champagne, beer and orange juice. The group would then enjoy the various activities.
