3 STADLER FACTS & FIGURES WE GIVE IT OUR ALL Our headquarters are located in Bussnang, in Eastern Switzerland. A workforce of around 7000 employees are based there and at other locations across Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, Belarus, Algeria, Australia and the United States. Stadler provides a comprehensive range of products in the commuter rail and railway segments: highspeed trains, intercity trains, regional and commuter rail trains, underground trains, tram trains and trams. In addition, Stadler manufactures main-line dual-mode locomotives, shunting locomotives and passenger carriages, including the most powerful diesel-electric locomotive in Europe. Stadler remains the world s leading manufacturer in the rack-andpinion rail vehicle industry. STADLER HAS BEEN BUILDING TRAINS FOR MORE THAN 75 YEARS AND DOING SO WITH PASSION. Buying a train is like choosing a partner. It is almost like a marriage and that is why Stadler lays particular emphasis on its role as a faithful partner to the client. We listen, we think and we work with our clients to develop tailor-made trains. Our continuous focus is on putting the best train possible on the tracks for our clients. year for example, when we delivered six option vehicles for MAV in record time. When we delivered five(!) different vehicle types on time and in line with a very tight deadline to various railway companies in Western Switzerland, we once again lived up to our reputation as a reliable partner. Every other train was delivered on time in 2015: there were no late client handovers in any of our projects. That is something that makes us extremely proud. This year, Stadler will be part of a historic event: the 57-kilometre-long Gotthard Base Tunnel, the longest train tunnel in the world, will officially be opened. From 2019 onwards, the new Giruno trains, produced by Stadler for the Gotthard Base Tunnel, will carry passengers from Zurich to Milan, and later from Frankfurt to Milan, in record time. We will be introducing and presenting this high-speed train to the general public for the first time ever at Inno- Trans 2016 in Berlin. More than ever, this is the year to attend.
