Place of birth: Nurmo, Finland Master of Science in Mathematics (Applied Math, Software Engineering) 1987, University of Helsinki SUMMARY I have over 20 years experience in project management, business development, process and product development in IT and Consultancy business areas in different industrial sectors. Presently I work in my own company Straightlines Corporation Ltd, which provides project management and consultancy services for IT projects strategy development and process development to global companies. Lately I have worked in global Process and IT (SAP) development programs one(1) year as a hired SAP program manager in Pulp and Paper sawmill project in Russia and after that two years in a global chemical company s process unifying and SAP program responsible in the company s biggest (1 billion ) Business Area. After being 11 years in Scandinavian IT consultancy company TietoEnator I established with my colleagues an own company Fountain Park Ltd and since then (2000) I have provided business and IT consultancy services by my own. As a management consultant I have also worked in several change projects of different organisations focusing on subjects like business transformations, merger & acquisition process, organisational culture, value processes and strategic investment projects like SAP programs, process development programs and competence development programs. In TietoEnator I had several roles a system analyst, project and program manager, department manager and a director of strategic business unit. Business Areas were Pulp and Paper, Process Industry, Energy, Publishing & Media and Public Sector. In Information Services my business unit created for instance Helsingin Sanomat Oikotie.fi web service and Taloussanomat.fi service. My favourite job is a project, where business requirements and needs as well as different competences can be combined with a corporate level strategic initiative in a business development, process development or in IT- project. As a board member of Finnish Strategy Management Association (Suomen Strategisen Johtamisen Seura, SSJS) I have excellent opportunities to follow and share modern strategic development both from theoretical as well as from practical perspective. Feedback I have got from my customers is that my management and leadership style is practical, positive, active and energetic. New Media Unit was established in order to create new business for Information Services Division. As a Director of the Unit, I created and developed new and profitable (EBIT 25%) business for Information Services in three (3) years. The major businesses were Helsingin Sanomat/Oikotie and Taloussanomat.fi. Last business area I started was elearning services for multinational companies. The origin of the company was in Carelcomp Oy, which was the biggest IT provider in Finland in Pulp&Paper sector. Main products were Production Management System, Quality Management System and Production Control System. Deliveries were made in Sweden, Norway and Switzerland. My responsibilities were International sales of products and services in Pulp&Paper sector Project deliveries Sales and Project Unit s concept and process development Quality Management process development Tieto Corporation acquired Carelcomp Oy in 1997 and Papersoft was merged into Tieto Corporation. 00/94 00/96 Carelcomp Oy Account Manager/M-Group Carelcomp Oy was a leading IT service provider in Pulp&Paper sector in Finland. Service concept was Whole Product to all Finnish Pulp&Paper companies including Consultancy Maintenance Services Processing and Networking services Outsourcing services

4 Our Customers were Finnish companies like Metsä-Serla, Enso-Gutzeit, United Paper Mills, Kymmene Oy. Business was divided into three divisions: M-group (Metsä-Serla, Metsäliitto, Sunila), E-Group (Enso-Gutzeit) and U-group (UPM and Kymmene). My business area was M-group. As an Account Manager my main responsibilities were Sales and Marketing Sales and marketing covered all services, which Carelcomp provided and tasks included, tendering, sales negotiations and contracting. As a successful sales manager I got many profitable deals, and the most important projects were delivered on time. In my account there were typically 15 on-going projects at the same time. ETY-SYSTEMS business was to make project deliveries after consultancy had been made by parent company EKONO. My responsibilities were project deliveries and product development. System Manager, System Analyst Micronas Inc.(presently MAS) is a company, which sales, designees, produces and delivers Integrated Circuits for Mobile Phones. My responsibilities were mainly system management tasks (VAX/VMS) and software engineering tasks in Design Department. During that time I made my Final Examination (Master of Science) which was an Optimization Program for Digital Filters. At that time the work was practically and theoretically very important. Based on the solution Micronas Inc. sold the program (MASFIL) several years. KNOWLEDGE OF LANGUAGES My native language is Finnish. I have good spoken and written command of English and average Swedish. I have a good grounding in German as well.
